And apply DIRECTLY to the SWG situation.

They don't know. This game has been in the hands of horrible management since day 1. Anyone who has ever had to work for idiot managers knows that those types think of themselves as infallable geniuses, who's excrement doesn't stink.
If this fails (and it will), the only people on Earth that will be surprised are the managers in charge of this game, namely Julio Torres, John Smedley, Dallas Dickinson, and Grant McDaniel. My guess is everyone under them knows. Remember, the Devs only do what those I named TELL them to do, they have no choice.
Add to this firing Tiggs, the ONLY one of the sorry lot even trying to hold this community together, and my guess is you'd need the Hubble Telescope to spot the morale in the place.
That right there sums up the problem with SWG, and the disease the management has.
Well actually reading the 4 pages, we don't know if it is the case with the NGE.
For CU, yes, definitly.
But NGE is a new game. It takes balls to throw that up. They are ready for sacrifice.
Management says it is the game as it should have been in the first place. Yes it is, in a marketing point of view.
The Audience will be larger. Some of you might be leaving because you don't like what is coming and it is understandable. It is a new game coming.

If you believe that this will attract a larger, more devoted audience I would beg to differ. Common sense would indicate that this is the last gasp of a dying game. Word of mouth travels fast and most of it is bad. People that I know haven't played the game have commented in the middle of a conversation that they heard this game is toast.. There will be dabblers who who will, with their culturally truncated attention spans, explore this game for a bit but will move on to the next game with bright shiney lights and effects that go boom post haste.

Rumor floating around was that we were going to be shut down in January.
I had heard a rumor that the game was going to be shut down as well and that this is a last ditch effort to float the game for a bit longer. Just a rumor but it fits SoE's mode of operation and the historic dictates of human behavior to cover ones ass.
