Thread: Devs can we get a DANGEROUSLY CLOSE Part II update?

Would be nice to hear from a developer on what the "dangerously close" comment in dev chat a few weeks ago actually meant.

Without a qualifier as to what this meant, it seems we may wait another month or two before someone opens the FSCS to see it for real.

I would also like to see more moderation on this Jedi forum and delete these fake "OM3g I opened the FSCS!" type posts.

Players are now on the Razor's Edge! Beware!

Jedi are closer than they appear in the mirror! Caution!

It meant they wanted the number of people cancelling their accounts to slow down for a few weeks. It's kind of suspicious that it came 5 hours prior to the announcement stating that Holocrons were going to give clues because we weren't unlocking the slot fast enough...

dangerously close meant 'hey, we said 3 months, and it's been that so we better tell them someone's close so we can't be called liars' but of course that didn't work very much.

dangerously close was the wrong word to use I think.. To me Dangerously close means any day, That report " The Droid Report" was published 25 days ago on 4 october, I still have the official email. I would have figured they would have said, the FS slot will be unlocked in a month or so.. not dangerously close.

I used to roll my eyes when I read a forum about someone saying that the Jedi code was not in the game... but now as time goes on, I sometimes think to myself that it might not be in .. or that its just bugged, probably the latter. I am not mad that I have not opened it cause I am more of a casualy player.. but they have 300K + subscribers ... you would think that one person would have happened upon it by now.

I do wish they would be a little more truthful and give us a little more info on this slot, not give us hints or anything but participate more on this board and let us know how close people are. If someone was not dangerously close they should not have made that statement. I for one would just like to see an announcement that someone opened it.

Almost master commando! Going for Master CH next before NERF I hope!

Then with CH I can train us other combat skills and use tank to help me out a bit when I cant get groups to die in .

Last i read they where checking the FS status a couple times a day cause someone was close. The problem is peeps who started from day 1 are getting burnt out and quiting the game. So now they have to check the next closest person etc. etc. We're probably back to another month now

lol it would be funny if one of the losers who skips out on SWG for final fantasy is one of the 'dangerously close' people.

Yeah, exactly. How many people that were dangerously close to getting their FS slot, have quit the game?

Can you imagine the possibility of NOBODY not even close to doing it right now?

The thought makes me cringe.

hmm, people are starting to cancel subscriptions. Power gamers have done everything in the game twice and new games are on the horizon. How do we institute a "stop-loss?" Oh, just say that we are "dangerously close" to having FS open up. Anyone who wanted to be a Jedi wouldn't dare cancel for fear that they were one of the "dangerously close" players. Of course, there is no way for anyone to know if it is really they who are dangerously close, nor does the player base have any clue as to what exaclty "dangerously close" means. It's so subjective, it's beautiful. We are kings of industry and shall forever sleep on pillows of profit - pillows endlessly fluffed by the masses yearning to experinece somthing they may not even enjoy. Muahahah....

Dangerously. Johny Dangerously.

I wonder if the devs would consider "bumping" someone's char to jedi for pr. I mean like take the top closest 1% and random 1% to force the slot to unlock.
