Thread: Doesn't new snare mean rifles > all combat? NEED INPUT FROM BETA TESTERS
***EDIT*** FYI, the new snare in BETA only no longer breaks on damage and lasts 30 seconds, and removes force run or burst run. So whoever can snare at greater distance automatically wins.

Apparently this might be the case, may my Fallen-Hyper Rifle have mercy on your poor souls.
I wish I was in beta to test the full extent of this. But all I can do is think the scenerio over in my head, rifleman snares at 64m anyone who doesn't have rifles, then dances around them untill they die.
If that's the case, this is WAY to gamebreaking and unbalanced to go live without some changes.
all i know, is my jedi wont be leaving his house if things work out like this
whoever saw a jedi get perma snared in the movies?

ya no isht, my jedi will be maxed vis sitting in my damn house if this isht goes live.
Well if this is all true (hoping to hear from beta testers) then this can't go live this unbalanced. It's not just about Jedi, it's about all combat professions.
who is seeing anything resembling a 'perma snare'???
doesn't this stuff break on attack, or have timers?
besides....line of sight rules for melee.
i get attacked by ranged peeps and they rarely do anything more than prove annoying. i root myself by standing there to heal sometimes.guns just don't do that much damage to me.
all this doomsday talk....lets see how it actually plays before freaking out.

I would agree with you but some people said the same thing Pre-Cu.

do some research please... rifleman snare is has a very short timer and a long cooldown timer, not to mention they miss 75% of the time. i'd be more worried about cm snare
