I'ma Squad Leader. I am not a Bounty Hunter.

Linked HERE is a proposal that I have made on the Squad Leader forums regarding a change to the BH TEF system and SL buff system that I believe would completely rectify this enormous controversy once and for all.

If you like the idea, please /sign and support the post. I don't want you all thinking that we Squad Leaders are trying to back this whole BH/SL exploit thing. All we want is for our profession to be fixed so that we can lead squads in combat, not buff BH's to kill Jedi.

Please check out the post and give your commentary. Thanks.

Totally different issue, and it should be addressed separately. I just want to get *this* issue out of the way so that we can focus on PVP.

I do agree, Riflemen getting 5800-damage attacks in PVP is ridiculous ... we Squad Leaders don't want that. We want to make a noticeable impact, but we don't want to be gods.

Part of that solution is coming in the other proposal that I suggested, which was luckily passed. The devs implemented a suggestion I made regarding Leadership being used as a skill to denote SL buff power. The problem is that right now it only effects the individual buffs, not the group buffs ... so even a small dabbler in SL can give a full-power group buff.

That needs to be changed so that Leadership effects all buff potency. The most powerful buffs should only be granted by Master Squad Leaders, naturally.

After we get to that point, rectifying the way buffs are applied and taking the BH/Jedi/SL problem out of the equation, that's when balance needs to come into play. And believe me, I do agree that it *does* need to be addressed.

Mine is much more simple.

When a MBH has a mark and starts the attack both parties drop the SL buffs if they have them.

--period.

This is by far the safeist -- balanced - equal thing that can be done for both sides, its this simple -- this way PvP , GCW has no bearing on it and this would be most likely the easist to code.

add a 5 min timer to when you can do it again and we are done.

Doctor buffs, including the adrenal boost for significant combat speed, are not dropped at the onset of a BH/Jedi TEF. If you want to propose that both sides lose ALL outside buffs at the onset of a TEF, go for it ... I personally won't support it, but I'll admit it's a viable option.

Frankly, as I've said before, the BH needs to be intelligent and crafty. He gets to choose when the combat starts. If he attacks a Jedi that's in my group, *he* screwed up ... that Jedi should be able to keep his buff for the fight that follows. The BH needs to be selective and careful in when to engage his prey. Engaging the Jedi when he's in my group and buffed up with SL mods, Doc buffs, uber foods, etc. may not be the best time to attack.

The BH should back off and wait to reacquire the target later. That's more realistic, in my opinion.

No SL BUFFS, not the others...I never said all buffs from the docs etc..

AGAIN just the SL buffs... man they would never go for the others... thats just silly.

Right, but that's just my point ...

Why does the Master Doctor get to help his friend, but I can't help mine?

Wait? Nobody can give outside heals? What am I missing? -- the SL buffs are actully the real issue here.. If I have a buff from a doc but can counter that with my Speed buff then I feel its ok..

The doc buffs can be used on anyone the SLs cannot... also the group bonuses... SO with that said Im back to just the SL buffs dropping this would not interfere with PvP or group fun, guild wars etc..

ONLY BH missons are my concearn... No outside healing is to occur now as it is.. and the SL buffs dropping with a 2 or 5 min timer on the re-apply would be a instant fix and problem would be solved..

Both sides are balanced and its a easy concept to understand.
