Thread: Possible Solution for Post/Pre-CU Sabers

ne1 else have ne opinions on this thread? i think its a good idea for devs to look at. it aint prefect or ne thing but alot better then whats currently live tho and it meant make jedi happier and more worth gettin again

I think you are giving people a benefit of the doubt. If FS people really did this, then why is there such a disparity now? The CU has not been out that long so the majority of newer jedi began the FS grind after the CU. Maybe the most recent rounds of jedi, but I would bet they are not the ones here that are upset.

I think you are giving people a benefit of the doubt. If FS people really did this, then why is there such a disparity now? The CU has not been out that long so the majority of newer jedi began the FS grind after the CU. Maybe the most recent rounds of jedi, but I would bet they are not the ones here that are upset.
well its felt like 6 months but how ever long its been 
but ne ways every1 in my guild who is FS non-jedi is stocking up on the crystals/pearls atm. but im mainly talkin about current jedi. pre-CU feel they shouldnt be nerfed and post-CU feel they should be more equal and besides this is only my opinion or thoughts on how to balance jedi with littleor nocomplains at all. i dont work for SOE but every1 ive talkd to in game (pre and post CU jedi) all agree and love this idea andi just wanted to see how every1 else felt in other servers about my idea.

I say just raise the damage given from crafting and make pearls cap at 50 like they did in the old system. That way, it won't be a huge difference between one Jedi and the next. I just hope to God that they would include required skills for the different sabers (double bladed gen III at 0040)... I hate seeing every 0404 template running around with a 4th gen. Only the best (gen 4) should be reserved the most skillful (MLS). And the reason I say required skills for each saber is so that you can't grind to MLS, grab a 4th gen, and then go back to dabbler. To use a 4th gen, you must be MLS.

hell that works too but what about the whiners complaining about pre-CU sabers with ADK on it. with ur idea on top of my balances it all out a little prolly

I think this would be one of those times to use tough love... Since pearls will be reconverted, I really think they need to make it so that you MUST build a new LS. No converting LSes and the crap it gives, it's time for everyone to build a new one. All they have to do is make all pearls (after they've been reconverted) incompatible with the old sabers. This forces everyone to delete their current LS and rebuild a new one. I know a lot of Jedi would be having a freaking stroke over the news of having to build a new one, but I really think it would be for the best of the game.

lol but u guys do know that prem/flawless only mean greater chance for perfect tune and has nothing to do wit how the quality of the tune right? u can get jus as good of a tune with a poor then prem/flawless, jus u have a worst chance in doing so. ive had better luck wit poorer qualities then higher ones. this is y i came up wit this stupid conplex solution in fixing this problem since SOE love conplex things vs things that actually makes sense. come on guys how long u been playin? lol j/k

to be honest i dont think any one should have worse saber then pre cu jedi have so make us craft new sabers is some kind of nerf
better do it so we want to craft a new saber becourse the new once is even better then our old pre cu . and all the new jedi need a beter saber so this is good for those aswell
This is what I meant, to change the whole crafting process. Revamp it so that the pre-cu hilts and the post-cu hilts are better than can currently be made. As it stands now, there is major gap in pre-cu and post-cu crafted hilts without pearls in them. This can be seen by the added dmg. The 100 sac and the faster speeds. It's impossible even with a 12 point suit to make a pre-cu saber.

I agree with the post on everyone having to build a new saber. Everyone had to build new guns post-cu, There's no reason that sabers can't be rebuilt.
