I support the snare. Cloak as it is, is rediculous.

Nice attitude. Go start your own thread if you don't like Cloak. The Snare is not needed with the other fixes, abd those of us who have it would like to save it. I already had to give up MDef due to the AI Snare, and I'm not going through this again.

Cloak has about ruined the game. It needs _ALOT_ more then just a snare during use.


I'm glad to see that it will also recieve a new classification which will cause it to fail if a Jedi uses any of these:


Heal


Access terminal


Meditate


Transfer force


Mount/dismount



And this is just a few of it's fixes.

These things are good, so why do we need this? It's not necessary, it's just punishment because people are mad at the few Cloakers who have abused the ability.

I don't know, seriously though the snare I think is a viable thing to put on Cloaking, since they intended it as a first strike/ambush tool etc. They didn't intend it to be a "run and hide" button.. Still I do think it was kinda lame of them to put it into the game wiht no snare in the first place since they know how peopel would have used it etc. Not really a nerf.. but still a bummer to all the people who have it, although alot of people want a respec for it but I don't really support that either since I have been screwed over on many profs and never got a respec for those changes (minus CU changes).

Because its supposed to be offensive, not a retreat mechanism. You shouldnt be able to cloak while you are within 100m of and NPC or player.

ok think about it same cud be said for AI cos of a few ppl who took advantage of their power it got a snare ,and if devs can nerf AI why not cloak ? ....

ya teh snare isn't needed, they r taking a cool force powers, one of the few that actually have some non combat value and taking all the fun out of it. how am i supposed to sneak up on the raiding party of imp and listen in on em if i am snared

I hate that it's used now to harass players, but a Snare is overkill. Changing the range to 45m is a fix, a Snare is just Punishment. It make the "Alpha-Strike" useless because by the time you crawled to your target you'ld be at half Force at best, and that's IF you can catch you target. The "Alpa-Strike" comment is a Dev's deversion.
