Thread: Ouch: first fight with a good MBH/MCM . . .

Just had my first real fight with a really good CM. There was no way I was winning that one. He healed too well, had 330 fire tick, 330 poison tick, rupture, drain, and some other crap all going on me.Best I could do was eject each time it got really grim looking for me.
Only reason he didn't kill me was causeI ran. 3 times. We had 3 or 4 full fights both starting off full and with plenty of foods and going at it, then breaking cause i ran cause i was out of or almost out of force, and then fighting again.
I've been fully temped since right before the CU and pvp every chance I get. I know the foods, I know my template.
This guy was so Arrogant / confidentthat he didn't even run or try to put distance between us. Just stood there in his 6000 all stats and 6500 RIS helmEnergy resist, AB sliced armor and shot me with a rifle.
He could definitely out heal me, and I would have been in the hurt box big time if I didn't have Stasis and FR3. My saber is 330 unmodded DPS and 600 modded DPSwith 14 FC with a SAC of 101. Not the greatest, but hell I couldn't hit him for over 400 points of damage on the high end! mostly 300-350 points. . . .
Most fights of this sort are all about timing, and I kept trying to hit him with the finishing combo AB - Advanced Saber Throw - Powerhit - but just could not get it to do enough damage before he got up and healed it all. Blah.
I hope FRS brings us some goodies, and I'm gonna be pissed if I have to buy an expansion to use it . . .This is just getting ridonculous.

Use your states if you're MLS. It does make a large difference against the FOTM BH's right now. Besides keeping them from using brust run, it also slows down ham regen amongst other things.
Dizzy is like Sap, it slows down HAM a bit.
Stun reduces dmg by about 40%, like taking a synthsteak without the stomach use.
Blind causes them to miss 25% more of the time.

Trust me, I was using Sap big time, as well as dizzy, blind and stun. Hell I even tried out bleed for a bit but the most i could get it to stick for was some measely 84 damage tick.

you cannot beat someone who knows the MBH / MCM temp well , you simply cannot outdamage their healing / mind regen ( even with perfect lightsabers)

Like I said, normally I don't have a prob unless its against Master Swords / Master doc or another good Jedi, but this guy was just taking every beating I could dish out and kept right on chugging.
I think that really what it comes down to is that 8100 Energy, WITH the 75% AB slice WITH the ability to slow my attacks WITH the uber healing of an MCM is just a little too much defense UNLESS you are using the speed exploit macro, which I don't use.

okay Danluf, do me a favor, since you are on my server.
go get Efetta to fight you (the MCM / MBH I fought) and then come back and let me know EXACTLY how you beat him. Complete with screenies and everything.

read the red text, you simply cannot outdamage their healing / mind regen
its that simple, how is that not getting thru to you ? their mind has fully regened before they need to shoot off another 3 second ( but it is never needed that quick ) 2k heal
