Thread: So what's REALLY going on?

Because there's these two completely opposite opinions being expressed on a daily basis on these forums.
Simple. Grinding Jedi and people who cant PvP loose to BHs. Finnish Temp jedi and Grinders who can PvP win. It is highly dependant on the skill of the jedi. Even with weak sabers, or no saber at all (powers wielders), good jedi should be able to fight or escape from a majority of the BHs out there. There is, on occasion, a very good, or lucky BH that comes by. This answer is kinda vague but its the best i can do you.

I wonder why people who can't PvP go Jedi, anyway.
And why is that?

Jedi doesnt have to be PVP, you can choose to leave the fight behind.
I wonder why players like you think automaticly Jedi=PVP
Many players out there want to play Jedi in a massive online game but dont want to PVP
They want to be immersed in the Star Wars atmosphere with other players, something that the Kotor series doesnt offer.

Im one of those persons. I find PvP to be 'unrewarding' for me, specially in the Jedi vs BH part. I enjoy more fighting my way in the corvette or Death Watch Bunker with my friends, than going to moenia go SF and assault theed...
Jedi is not a PvP class only like so many think, its just, because of the old FRS, it was seen like that, since it was the only way to progress, but there's a new FRS coming, and hopefuly it wont be PvP only. I hope that changes the concept of Jedi = PvP class for some.

This is a clear and concise answer not only to this question, but to many Jedi flames I see. I am still working on my temp, and yes, when the FRS comes I will do the trials and become a Knight, but it will probably end there. If the only benefit of moving up ranks in the FRS is to say that I am better than others and have better Titles, than thanks, but I'll pass. PVP, especially in its current incarnation (CU) is of little to no interest to me. But I like the idea of being a Jedi - enjoying the content as a profession that is much more appealing to me than Pistoleer or BH or whatever, but also creating my own content (helping new players learn to enjoy the game, maybe guiding a few on the path to Jedi). Grinding and PVP are probably the 2 main components of this game, but they are boring and irrelevant unless you are 1) enjoying yourself and the character you created; and 2) playing with other people. For many, that means becoming a Jedi. For others, it means going Reb/Imp, or running a city, or being a well known crafter of a specific item. Thats the beauty of MMO's, after all....To each his or her own.
