Can someone, in plain English, explain how cloak is getting nerfed exactly?

Im refering to the following statements:

The Rifleman's Cover ability and a Jedi's Force Cloak now adhere to a common rule-set that falls in line with the new hiding/stealth system introduced with the Ranger revamp.

Here are some rules common to all types of buffs that remove you from sight (including Force Cloak):

1. Taking any offensive action reveals you instantly (currently the only exception is the Rifleman's ability Conceal Shot).

2. Interacting with some objects in the world instantly reveals you (could be switches, terminals, containers, etc)

3. Some commands cannot be executed and require you to reveal yourself before executing the command

4. All of these buffs can be "toggled off" at any time you wish to become view-able by others

5. Some non-combat actions can also reveal you (like healing for instance)

6. You are afflicted with a movement snare when you are stealthy (rooted when just camouflaged)

1. Offensive actions consist of anything other than a heal, channel or protections (shield, armor, feedback, absorb, AI, resists, etc). So dont press your saber attacks or force drains while under cloak.

2. Using cloak to stop base takedowns will be stopped with this fix.

3. Still waiting on a list from the Devs.

4. Seems that they are making the "stealth" or cloak a toggle if it is already not that way.

5. My first impression of this is that we will not be able to heal at all. Ive been asking the Devs if this included healing ourselves or just healing others.

6. A snare is being added just like it was to AI so that Cloak is nolonger and escapse tool. The Devs first classified it to be a tool for "First Strike" ability on implementation.

There might be a snare attached to cloak, and also no more looting, messing with bases, healing, etc while cloaked. That's all.

heheh....I've been away for weeks now. Sorta surprised its taken this long for the nerf herders to get it done.

Honestly, it doesn't look like much of a nerf at all.

Blame the Jedi who abused it.

Good summary. I think the only one anyone has any real problem with is number 6. Are they even going to fix all the exploits that break cloak first? Are we going to be snared while cloaked now, while people AOE, CM, /follow, /assist us to death?

Not to mention, first strike ability and powers in the same sentance is an oxymoron. Powers doesn't have much of a damage capability to really make it a first strike. Are they going to give us a "backstab" or something to use as a first strike ability only from cloak that might actually do some damage?

I think the only thing that could be a problem is the snare. The rest of it just makes sense.

OK, I accpet the nerf, but the force cost should be removed. Oh and also Thansk Devs, for making Master Powers more worthless, you just made my gaming experience the best its ever been.

Well there goes the last of the Powers users. It will be the CH of Jedi skills until they decide to actually make it worthwhile to have any powers at all in a year or so.....

Cloaking = Sneaking with a Mind Trick. The snare actually makes sense because running like a banshee while sneaking is impossible...except for those incredible ninja's in the B movies!

No blame the cry babies that want to nerf anything that they dont have.

I agree that you should not be able to loot containers and I agree that you should be unable to assist others and not be able to aggro mobs. But the snare and the not being able to heal myseld and channel is just stupid. I hope they get aura and power strike next.
