Option three is your best choice if you don't care for option one.

And if you think option two is even an option, then you need to refer yourself to option three.

This doesn't bother me. I figure this part of making Jedi difficult and rare. I think this is how it should be. I think we should have a tough ride to get to the top because once a Jedi is there, they will have many advantages over a non-Jedi.

I think this is probably one of the two things that I have the most problems with. I don't believe Jedi should be out in the middle of Theed showing off at all. I would never play that way. However, the sad fact is that to do anything and not get on the terminals, you have to do it all alone. It is kind of depressing, really. No guild hunts as a Jedi until you're a Knight and don't have to worry about xp loss, providing you know you'll never want to change your template. All combat is by yourself. And, while I'm the type of player that would never walk around in my robes because I'd want to RP a hidden Jedi, I would still like to bring a few close friends along during those months and months of playing alone.

3. A BH can kill you multiple times daily if you get on the terminals, and this isnt griefing?

Eh, again, I figure this is part of the tough road of being a Jedi.

4. If you find a good spawn...it most likely gives you visibility. So you exploit that spawn

and out xp the BH deaths? Possibly getting banned.

Well, I wouldn't do that. Not worth a banning.

5. You are the ONLY profession to lose xp to deaths of BH and cloning?

Again, I think this is fair. Part of being a Jedi.

6. You auto-clone after Crash to Desktop and lose xp?

Obviously, this sucks. And, every single Jedi who has lost experience due to SOE's incompetence relating to CTD should be compensated.

7. As a noob you cannot hunt down crystals, and they are going for ridiclous costs. So you need to lvl up a SECOND toon just to get them?

Well, I think this is part of being prepared. A Jedi wannabe knows what's in store for them if they've done the least bit of research. Get the crystals and stash the cash before you make Jedi Padawan. And, if all else fails, you *do* have that second slot to help you and don't have to rely on others for it if you don't want to.

8. A BH doesnt need Mbh to hunt you...he needs investigation 3 then melee stacks?

Don't have a problem with this either. In fact, I think every profession should be a little more viable without having to master.

This is my 2nd big beef. Sure, I want a lightsaber. But, it sucks that you have no choice but to become Master LS just to survive. The devs revamped the system so that there would be variety in templates. Or at least, that's what was claimed. But, the truth is, there is no variety. There are obvious must haves such as MLS, healing, and enhancer skills, which leaves you *very* little to become unique if you want to stand half a chance in the FRS. And again, the FRS is the only viable way to go up in rank after Knight. Not to mention the fact that it might be against some light Jedi's moral code to go around killing Jedi all the time, even if they are dark. But, as it stands now, 75% of Jedi are going for pretty much the same template, and nobody can get past rank 3 or whatever because of the borked system. I would love to be able to be viable with a master powers/master healer template, but I can't. I suppose I could do that template just for fun, and play a support role, which I enjoy doing. But, I'll never have a chance of going past Jedi Knight. And, there's part of me that would like to take part in that as well. What's worse is that Jedi have already been given a lot of attention and revamp. The odds of Jedi being tweaked to make other types of templates viable in the next year is pretty much slim to none. I've always liked being unique. I've been dancing since launch. I've never been uber. But, I never had to be uber to be the best at what I do. Now, however, you have no choice. I realize Jedi is mainly PvP. But, because the system is set up as it is, there is no chance for a unique Jedi to be "the best" ever. So, it comes down to making a choice. Play strictly for fun, or try to advance. It's not an easy choice to make. And, because of the narrowly defined template that allows you to do so, everyone becomes the same. Again.

I am sure i can go on and on, but its beeting a dead horse really. I just would like some feedback as to is this stuff gonna be changed or am I doomed with the decision to either pay to hide, exploit, or quit?

Anyone have any suggestions for a comprimise? What did you do to lvl Jedi? I dont want to be negative, as its not my style...but this is getting depressing. Any positive comments or advice would be appreciated.

Anyone have any suggestions for a comprimise? What did you do to lvl Jedi? I dont want to be negative, as its not my style...but this is getting depressing. Any positive comments or advice would be appreciated.

Ihaven't been hit by one BH yet. Just got saber 0040 and died today getting over zealous with "mowing" everything down in may path. regrinded the exp and got a skill to boot so your weaker then a novice brawler. After playing all the combat profs on the way to jedi it was an interesting change up from the reguler prof grinding. that can be done in three days and has been doable for about 8 months. I fixed my crystal problum by bumming them off of guildmates or making deals with people who are selling them. Its alot easier to go through friendly contacts then buy off a vender. and there a good spawns out there that don't give vis. however they are high traffic areas for other jedis and such because there soo good.

As for jedi in PvP master sabers is an absolute must in today's world of skill allocation. but who syas you have to have it to PvP. Its a must for PvPing JEDI but who says that a 0404 can't take out a reguler player if they have the right skills.A master defender master enhancer with LS 4004 has the potential for more toughness against jedis and reguler players. Force armor for jedi and jedi toughness for the players. Your LS toughness covers both at 40% since all the mods are multiplisitive in nater they all come out at about a 60% toughness in general. Just carry holos and role with a jedi healer for support. or you can sacrifice a good portion of enhancer and get healing abilities. You wont have the highest DPS or be capable of going head to head with an MLS jedi but maybe this template is a group combat template.

Or you can go sabers 4004 master healer master enhancer and be a combat healing machine, supporting your MLS jedi in the fight and getting the kills. just make some deals and have them throw a few jedi death blows your way. Every one just wants to be the uber 1337 dude and slaughter every one with the highest DPS tempate out there. Guess what the other guy is gonna do it to. Nobody really cares if they do it either. Go a different route and build something that will support people in a fight. I garentee that you will be rememberd for saving that A$$ and taking the group to Teh win. hell, this game is a waste of time without having people to interact with.
