I earned my Jedi. Many others earned their Jedi. Handing out Jedi like halloween candy is a serious mistake.
Dissapointed.

they should keep the system for attaining jedi the same as it is now, and replace jedi as starting proffesion with a sort of meele warrior proffesion which combines the ones we have now

What did someone who stuck by their Smuggler for 2 years earn?
What are their reward?

They earned the reward to be a damn smuggler. why would you earn a reward of being another class, when you spent all your time in another? that makes no sense, thats like saying a homeless bum should get bill gates paycheck because they've been alive for the same amont of time. even though bill gates managed to become succesful through his own tactics, where as a bum decided he wanted a drink insted of say.. getting a job.
They are getting a elder reward just like everyone else. there reward shouldn't be the reward of our accomplishment.

Its no bigger mistake now than handing out "Smuggler" or "Commando". You earned your old Jedi. Have a funeral for him, cause in a couple weeks, he's gone. You'll get a new one in the new game, but its a different thing, and not worth making someone go through an "unlocking" process to get.

So if you dont want to be a Jedi you dont deserve anything, and you compare Smugglers to bums?

NO, if you don't want to be a Jedi, you dont deserve to be a jedi, period. And yes i am, they've been out on the street waiting for their revamp, and all they've got is the **edit** kicked out of them and a few coins in the cup.

So a new player who grind a Jedi up from Level 1 do not want to be a Jedi?

We aren't talking about them now are we? we're talking about.. lemme see. *scrolls up* smugglers. tell me, why does a smuggler deserve to be a full template jedi, if he's been a smuggler for 2 years, why the sudden switch to jedi when he doesn't have to do the long hard accomplishment part of the profession? I don't care about the "new" players starting from scratch, hey they got duped into buying a SOE game, they want jedi, thats cool, they probably won't know what the old system was until they are told.

Same deal. it blows they got their class deleted because creature handler didn't fit in with the new, stylings of the FPSish combat system. not sure why it didn't... i mean if they changed the UI they could have easily added the pet UI from WoW or CoH. and the class would have still been perfectly viable. purely stupid if you ask me..but hey..its SOE....
They are what they are, respec jedi, nothing more, nothing less. they didn't do it in the old system because they didn't want it, now they are boned and got completely deleted i feel sorry for them. maybe jedi was on their list of things to do, but they loved CH too much to give it up. now they have a chance to try it, so good for them.
Alas you still haven't answered my smuggler question. you can toss and turn it into another profession all you want, but tel me why you think any profession that "wasn't" deleted by SOE's moronic planning, deserves to be a jedi.
