I am a jedi and a bounty hunter. I am good at both. Enhancer celerity tree (en 4xxx) for any jedi isa must up to force speed 2. No Force Run = I kill you with my bounty hunter if you stay and fight. With Force Run 2 you have a chance to run away if you can not over power me (and wave -snare- will not help you). Yes, I have combat medic skills, and no I do not use any DOT (near 900dps with PUP -ranged). Also, if you go up against a jedi with force speed 2...well, if you are both good pvp u will most likely lose.

I agree with that you should play the templet. That is a must, whatever templet you have. And I agree that you should have the templet that YOU enjoy. After all, it is a game! That said, if you are like me, and your goal is Force Rank and you want to go as high as possible -and asssuming all sabers by then will more or less be of similar dps for the jedi in FR. MLS / MDF / En 3xxx / Hl2xxx. I am today MLS / MDF / EN4xxx / HL1xxx. Many draw backs, as I was EN4xx4 before. The reason for HL1xxx is to counter mcm DOT. WIth infusion and basic heals you take away mbh/mcm DOT. I have been pawned by jedi without MDF, I must say, MDF is NOT a must. I have been pawned by jedi without MLS either -though I still feel MLS is a must. They simply out played me and they play the templet they have very well. If Force Rank is ganed by PvP, and the only place we can expect to get PvP in good numbers is during big fights, the way you defendis going to paly a very big role.

MLS/EN44xx/HL2xxx/DF434x. From here is the base of a true dabler templet. This one is an extrem DEF templet. MLS/EN44xx/HL4xxx/DF414x This is the other side of the dabler templet. This is NOT an easy templet to play at all. However it is great fun and very strong against all templets -you need many hours of play time to handle this templet. If you go up against a mls/mdf you do not stand and go toe to toe unless he dosnt have healing -all he needs to do is AB (Armor Break) on you and Force Armor is almost gone. The dabler templet is great for Force Rank as it gives a great chance for defeating any templet in big pvp or 1on1 -I must add that you do need a good saber, my bh would have a field day with your force if you can not over power within a few minutes.

As you can see by now, I feel that Force Run and Force Speed are a MUST hands down. I can not say healing is a must because I know a few players that are very skilled PvP with STIMS only (Jedi). But for the other 99% get healing at HL2xxx as a must. Infusion is for mcm only and at basic it is enough. Last, learn to use STIMS/Ruby. Even if you have healing. STIMS, if used right, will not cost a combat round and will not drain mind like Force Healing. When you cant take any more Ruby, use your Force Heals. In BIG PvP, if you are going down, you ARE going down. Healing or not. Last note as I am MDF and I am one of the few that actually and truely enjoys the boaring MDF templet: We are the Jedi Marines, send us in first and you all follow...The few, the brave...lol

its all about knowing how to use your template effectivly, not one specific template is THE best for everyone

I don't know about the rest of you but I've always been generally opposed to FOTM templats for PVP.

Pre CU because I wanted to be melee everyone was saying Go TKM Go Pikes, so I went for Master Swords.

Then everyone said you need to stack defense get some TKM get some Pikes, so I wend Master Doc.

So then as a Master Sword Master Doc I went out PVPing most of the time by myself & guess what happened... I owned severall people with this template up to 3 vs 1 if they where normal proffs sure I got owned by most jedi but I also ran a lot of them out of force & pre CU that was tough 1 VS 1.

Then I went jedi & everyone said get MLS or Master Defender, so naturally I got Master Powers then they said you need to get a lot of healing & defender, so again I finished my template to this...

Master Powers

Enhancer 4004

Defender 0040

Healer 4000

LS 0400

& again every vetran jedi said I would get owned & again I proved them wrong.

I'm jsut wondering if anyone else out there has this mind set of taking the template sets that most people think are garbage & stomping people with it is the way to go... who knows might jsut be me.

I agree it's all about knowing how to play your template there is no best template

totally agree - i played MWS 0404 sabers 4400 enh 4000 healer very successfully for 2 months - now going

0404 sabers 4140 healer 4403 enh 0040 defender and 0400 powers - after surviving on 3550 force for 2 months 5700 doesnt seem too low to me - play what you enjoy and stick to it and learn how to use it - that is how to get good at this game

old pre cu fotm = new post cu fotm (in force ranking)

Master Lightsaber, Master Enhancer , 2 lines of Healer (with states borked, 4040 pref.) in the proper hands, that templateis the way to go.

It certainly does make you the victor. In this unbalanced game if a Jedi can come of BH encounter alive by any non-exploting means neccesary then he is the victor. It is the the Jedi's job to live and not to die.

With the range on sabers being so low the lack of melee defense doesnt matter to much in JvJ. Stasis more then makes up for the lack of defense

Wow man when in my entire post did I mention that I run & hide from every fight?

I will admit that I'd rather run from 3+ jedi than stay & die when I'm by myself but how many wouldn't given the option.

& wow again you do know CIA is reb guild & part of teh Ahazi rebel alience & your calling me out?

As someone already said ... best Jedi Template is one that you can use ,,, if you have to run to survive then that's what you have to do if you are able to stand and fight then there you go ... I was a MLS MD with some nice bits in between pre - CU and up till now still had it ... I didn't find it to boring but it was missing something that I needed so I asked someone on the forums that had a specific template how they found it the pro's and cons got some good advice (this person wasn't afool who posts rubbish in the Jedi forums all day ... very important to get good advice) and made the switch ... still getting use to the template haven't had a bh yet :/ cant solo Akxva min Necrosis anymore but that I can live with that ... still pushing this new template to its limits as should other Jedi ... its the only way

Swg is like a Cheating Girlfriend ... you wana stay with her so bad even though deep down you know nothing is ever going to change or be fixed ...
