boba fett was kind of employed to find luke skywalker, but offically he was not a jedi yet....han solo was just a byproduct of the hunt.
hunters There is Bossk, a slimy, tentacled monster with two huge,
bloodshot eyes in a soft baggy face; Zuckuss and Dengar, two battle-
scarred, mangy human types; IG-88, a battered, tarnished chrome war
droid; and Boba Fett, a man in a weapon-covered armored space suit.
VADER
... there will be a substantial
reward for the one who finds the
Millennium Falcon. You are free
to use any methods necessary, but
I want them alive. No disintegrations.
BOBA FETT
As you wish.
I like how ppl cop out and point fingers in the face of cold hard facts....
NO BH was ever hired to hunt a Jedi !!!!
tho vader manipulated like above poster said...... that sin fac directly says bobba was NOT hired at all for luke hired for HAN.... for what ever reason he was hired for HAN!
plain and simple
Predator there aren't billions, millions running around SWG either.
There is room in the universe for force sensitive and even lightsaber weilding people outside of the Jedi council's reach in the star wars universe.
There is even room for straggling Jedi that never made it back to the Temple. What there isn't room for is a system where bounty hunters took missions on Jedi. It's just not there.
As far as I can see it, Jedi in swg really aren't Jedi in the traditional sense since they aren't capable of being trained by a council. There really isn't the ability to become a Sith cause the two Sith lords still exist and there are only two sith, the master and apprentice.
Jedi in SWG therefore become a society much like the Nightsisters and similar force weilders.
There may have not been Bounty Hunters "officially hired to hunt Jedi"
But then again
85% of the galaxy wasn't Jedi holding gladiator conventions in front of major metropolatan city Starportseither. I think under the circumstances, Vader would have hired out as many Bounty Hunters as he could get his hands on (the other 15% of the galaxy)

If you're referring to the BH / Jedi professions in this game, I think it's actually closer to:
35% BH
35% Every other profession
30% Jedi
