Yeah, everyone who sees SWG for the first time always wonders "Why the hell are Jedi so weak". I never have a feasible answer for them either....

i wonder that too..... u have no idea how hard it was for me to start playing.... i think i might be the only one in my country that plays this...i had to wait like 6 months for a relative to go to USA and ge a copy for me.... and buy as much prepaid cards... as i could....cuz....there is none here.... for what..... hum for this....now i have a credit card (my moms =P)and i say to myself....what wonderfull world...naaa i say to myself what in the heck did i spend so much money o this..and so much ahrd work to get it >.<

When did you ever see any of the Fetts with the Ability to reflex damage back to his Jedi enemy. If I recall correctly it was Jedi sending damage to their Foes.

Oh forgot this is SOE vision of SWG!

The state of Jedi in SWG:

I hate how it worked out as well, its sickening to see how they changed star wars, its kind of like i'm not even playing a star wars game at all, except when i was a n00b (when i owned a little house on naboo outside theed, i just minded my own business and started a shop), or like when Space came out, that was another breakthrough thats star warsy to an extent. But now with jedi, its just kind of pointless. When i was a n00b with everyone else back when No one was jedi around launch. Jedi was secretive, and no one knew anything about it, and they were overpowered, that was the best time of this game, when it was actually star wars. they pretty much ruined the game and couldnt do anything about it, so they just changed veiwpoints and said "whats the way we can make the most money since we already screwed the game up, and pretend to make it more star warsy"

Jedi is star wars, and the devs have messed it up, it seems to me unless the FRS is promising, then nothing can save this game, which i doubt the FRS will be, look at the last one.

well..... the box did say "based on" the star wars movies....not " exact replica" so..... oh ... what really twisted us was "you make your own destiny" part...cause with over a mil accounts sold....granted alot of us have between 3-4 accounts... still.... you figure let enough pple make there own destiny..... in itself will make a unbalanced game

Does Lucas realy know what they have done to a game that bares his trademark? I'm starting to think Lucas Arts has no clue what the devs are doing behind their back.

Yeah, we are all Jedi Padawans now and no the LS is SWG is not mightier than the metal sword. If you want Jeds the way it is in the movies, i.e. having Jedi cutting through swathes of NPCs, then you absolutely have to remove Jedi from the GCW and also from even grouping with other players. IN the current system with "movie Jedi", you would need one in a group and he would cut down the Acklay with three swipes. You can see the balance problems cant you?

You should've probably answered "wouldn't be much of a game if one class which anyone can get trivially just annihilates everything else without a second thought".

If Jedi were rare in this game, they could be the all-powerful race they should be. Since every man and his dog nowadays is a Jedi, or on the road to becoming one, they have to be balanced alongside everything else. How anyone can not understand this is beyond me.
