Confirmed by George Lucas on the DVD. Puts all debates to rest. Yes I knew that he brought balance to the Force, saw the movies too many times to count. Awesome Special features and even deleted scenes. Wish they would have kept Yoda arriving on Dagobah

Well if you think about it, Anakin did bring balance to the force.. because the Dark side was weaker..

when he killed Palpatine he sacarficed himself, redeeming himself he wiped out the sith...bringing balance to the force once again (about 20yrs late but never mind )

This is real news if you haven't seen Return of the Jedi.



Anakin: Master, I think my lightsaber is getting dull. Its not doing nearly as much damage as it used to.
Obi-Wan: O.k. when we're done showing the youglings around the temple, we'll stop by the bazaar and you can buy a new crystal. I hope you've got a couple million credits saved up for this.
Anakin: WHAT?!!?? I don't have THAT kind of cash!
Obi-Wan: Well you could try sharpening it on these younglings. I've got a headache and all their questions are driving me NUTS!
Anakin: hmmm.... Sharpen my lightsaber on younglings...... hmmmmmm.....
Obi-Wan: uh, that was a joke Anakin. I'll spot you the cash for a new crystal THIS time, but next time you're on your own.

I knew he brought balance, there were some that thought Luke brought balance or Obi-Wan or Qui Gon brought balance. Lucas just settled the debate. probably should have wrote that in the first message I wrote.. hmm yeah I have seen the movies a little too much.. wait thats impossible

I'm afraid to dissapoint you. Anakin was NOT the chosen wone. Skywalker was the chosen one, and as stated in EPIII, the prophecy could have been misread which was later confirmed in 4 5 and 6. The Jedi council assumed Anikan was the chosen one when in fact it wasnt even Luke, it was Leia Oragan AKA Leia Skywalker. SPOILER - After Vaders and the Emperor's death, luke also fell to the darkside for a brief moment after the Emperor's return via clones. It was Leia who pulled luke back. Leia also had 2 Children and was carrying a 3rd. It was these children that were to become the future of the Jedi. Highlight the previous paragraph to reveal.


So there you have it. That's all fact taken from canon sources such as Dark Empire etc.

Look at the title of Episode 6. Return of the Jedi. Luke does not become a true jedi as Yoda states. Who could the jedi be that returns? Why yes, Anakin. He is the chosen one because he basically does away with the Darth Vader title (remember, he is still Anakin, his sith name is Darth Vader). Therefore, Pie > Cake. I mean, Anakin was the chosen one.
