Thread: Why exactly do you hate Jedi?
- Why do you hate us so much? And remember, I do NOT mean the players, I mean the class itself.
- How would you reduce the numbers of Jedi in game and keep it fair to all involved?
Please attempt to keep it flame free, as I want to see if it's merely an immersion factor, a power factor, or something else entirely. And to see how the monumental task of "weeding" us out would be accomplished in your minds.

thats easy! #1 they hate us cause there either too stupid or lazy or both to figure jedi can be obtained in a matter of a few months.. hmm lets see lets give 2 weeks to grind a new toon and do all the get glowey crap.. yes can be done faster i know but lets give extra time not everyone is a vet. then your 18 weeks of SOE content(crap village quests) drive here go there or drive there and kill them all or whatever ( i did combat prowess 4444 reflexes 44xx so all i did was drive around or wait around and killstuff) now with current spin groups id say the drive to the village over time would be alot longer than the xp grind. but the clone express would cut that in half! so id say on average with the exit quest and padi trials you can be a jedi in between 20 to 24 weeks for a kinda hard core gamer. 24 to 32 for less motivated. and never for most noobs who want it given to them!.... its easy as it is and boring but im sure they will hate us till its an out of the box prof
as for number 2 thats even more easy! just let soe continue to say "working as intended" and a few more really good nerfs and never bring back premie drops and all the jedi will vanish forever after the the novelty wears out! and it seems like a broken dead end!

A somewhat side topic, but I think Jedi has a horrible image. How many time do you hear people blaming every nerf/change/whatever on Jedi?
The perception of jedi and the 'urban mythos' surrounding them in game taints alot of peoples thoughts towards them.
1.) Every forum has a thread about the BH/Jedi debate

Some how that topic creeps into every forum.

- They can kill us easeir than ever, 1 vs.1 is pretty pathetic in regards tohow long a fight can go on.
- We don't even interfere w/ the GCW hardly at all, considering its dead on a lot of servers
- We run around displaying our "jedi-ness.
I actually think most player like jedi now, now that they have a better change at killing them.

We die easier than ever, its easier than ever to be us, yet people still resent jedi. Sorry jedi needs fixes, sorry jedi is the only form of content that this game has for the 2 year + veterans and is the end-game ultimate goal of everyone playing SWG.
My opinion, you don't decide how this game should and shouldn't be, because we all know that the continuity arguement is a fascade because you just don't like jedi. There are a million ways SWG breaks continuity and jedi is the least of problems.
If jedi weren't in this game, this game would've stopped running a long time ago, Battlefront II has jedi, because well, Jedi are synonymous w/ Star Wars. Lol, even Rogue Squadron III had Luke weilding a saber.
If SWG2 were to ever come out, Jedi will be in it, just nowhere near as accessible as it is now.
If you think Jedi fights are rediculous YOU try being the MSL/MP!
i hate jedi b/c they ruined the game. To keep italong the star wars line of realism Jedi have to be X amount strong. this X is supposed to beat all characters that are fully temped with the best gear. So realistically we are lucky b/c some people just suck but for the most part any person who knows how to game who has put the time in, to aquire items that only take time and a lil effort will end up recieving?? --> God mode. Want to own at SWG? practise, make credits to buy loot from vets b/c they always have what you need, tune Pearls you get from credits till you get them perfect. and wham you'll be the pwnage. Or just go to ebay and spend some money and have it there and all you need to do is Practice.
there is no stopping the game from becoming all jedi b/c they have the best potential.
