For a melee character the food (vegeparsine) needs to be used, against both Melee and ranged oponents.

For a ranged character the drink (pica thundercloud) needs to be used against both ranged and melee oponents.

For a melee character equp melee defense mods (bio/ca/aa), against both Melee and ranged oponents.

For a ranged character equpranged defense mods (bio/ca/aa), against both ranged and melee oponents.

Always re-equip your weapon before combat, the newly added stats will not take effect until doing so

This has all been throroughly tested....trust me...save yourself millions from tapes, and space in your stomach for other valuable foods/drinks

Now don't say I never gave you nothin'

Can you elaborate more? Seems like you would use ranged def stuff against ranged profs, even if you were melee. Is it a bug maybe or is there some logic I'm missing?

thx

Slash, I said it has been tested...they DO work, as intended, and they work exactly as I put in the original post.

Of the many tests I have done, not to mention the results posted by others confirming this...here is on simple example for you

equip gun, fight any animal (melee)you want...pop a vegesparine, watch damage NOT change at all. Unequip weapon...watch damage go DOWN! Re-quip gun, watch damage go up. Now try this with a saber (melee)

Thanks so much for the helpful attitude. Always nice when people give up after only one or two questions.

Umm..this is worded funny. If I equip a gun, pop a veg and shoot at it...that's base damage. I unequip the gun, the damage is reduced to zero because I don't have a gun to shoot at it with, and when I reequip it, damage goes up because I am shooting again. Or is this not what you meant?

Think he means that after you pop the foods/drinks/whatever you need to re-equip your weapon to make the foodstuff work...

Much beer I sense in you, drunk you have become...

I hit the reset button, nothing happened.... Must be NERFed...
