Thread: If you're full-template, do you still have problems?

I was thinking about something today....it was set off by someone asking why everyone was complaining in this forum. So I began wondering why everyone was so bitter....
I am a full-temp jedi. About the only thing I do is PvP... I grind sometimes when other padawans need assistance. I help withquests when needed, etc but for the most part, I pvp with my fellow rebels.
The only thing I can ever really complain about is when the IMPS gather a gank to completely slaughter us... nothing about MY jedi in particular is game-breaking.
I got irritated over the cool-down exploit but not enough to be enraged by it.. I get irritated when I have to fight a BH b/c he heals more than me; still nothing to enrage me.... i always compliment them on their healing ability.
I thought the snare canceling of FR was stupid but I got over it...it has yet to get me killed...
So I wonder...what makes me different? I have a nice pre-cu saber...its around 693 max, 9FC, 95SAC but i knwo PLENTY of jedi who pvp with 500-600 damage sabers and do fine..
So what gives? Why is everyone so unhappy?
I'm not unhappy.. I just come here to enlighten myself (and others)with witty retorts and one liners.
i wish i was like you..
na seriously, nothing is special on jedi, and thats the problem.
Also there are some serious balancing issues if you ask me, and that doesnt hassolely to do with MCM/BH's or BH's with uber weapons and cooldown bypass macros. Ever fought a TKM/MSwordiwith some heal skills in decent armor? Then you know what iam talking about, months and months of work and pissed gffor a virtual pile of crap. In every other Star Wars game you get the oportunity to play a jedi you get 10x times the entertainment compared to a SWG jedi at 1/10000 of the time involving.

so in this case, the problem is not jedi or your template, but the inability to create your own content?

Eked, it's called roleplaying. And yes, I know! Not everyone likes it. But I think too many people treat SWG like a FPS game. It's not. It's an MMORPGAll they want is the next level. Well, I want the next level too but in the mean time I'm very happy to tend to my characters affairs in-game. Let me give you an example. This week I've not had too much play time but what I did manage to do was go hunting around my home planet, visit a POI (not just drive-by and get the badge - actually to there, get off my bike and look around). I also helped someone defeat a nefarious Dark Jedi called Mellichae, moved house and began decorating my new house (involved a trip to the architect, speaking to an artisan and ordering furniture - the usual).
This weekend I'm hoping to go to Mustafar for the first time (in live) and explore the planet, talk to the inhabitants and see if I can help them with anything (as long as in return they help me...). I'm not just going to go there and blast through the quests - anyone can pull down a guide and follow the instructions. I'm going to enjoy it by playing my character as she is to me. I didn't write that Biography for her for nothing. It means something. Her story means something. It's important to me.
So, while I may come to the forums and waffle on or express my dissatisfaction with this or that aspect of the game, content is not an issue. SWG has TONS of content - as good as you can get in an MMORPG. But there's only so much the Devs can do for us.
I enjoy playing "make-believe" - that's why I'm here. SWG just provides the tools.

my most recent self-created "content" was to organize my guild into a base take down team and asssist in clearing my planet of IMP bases.... sure, it was specifically jedi-related but it was content. . .
