Reading the transcript from the Stratics chat tonight has soured me once again to this game. The devs are sending out thinly veiled threats that those Jedi who have decent pearls are going to loose them. They have some major change coming in the way lightsabers work, but are too scared to say what it is. I am actually mad in RL over a stoopid game. What a waste.
I bought over 300 good quality pearls pre-CU to get my saber to what it is today. I promise you devs, SOE, whoever, I will cancel every account for the last time and never look back if this occurs.
Fixing a loot table has turned into this overarching dilemna that you all cannot seem to grasp. IT IS SIMPLE, drop more good quality pearls, decreasing their value to pre-CU levels (100k per), and/or introduce a few new species of Krayts above and beyond ancients. Seriously folks, why is this so darned difficult?

That'll be it for a lot of jedi, its not fair that we managed to get our crap together before it got broken and are going to get penalized for it. It just flat out isn't.
And I don't want to hear and bullsht about the current sabers staying better in the new system because that's what they promised us w/ the CU that miserably failed to convert our weapons.
too many whiners, jedi nerfing jedi is all this game is now.... the same jedi that don't want FRS to be PVP...the same jedi who want to eliminate XP loss.... the same jedi that.....

Ya i feel ya . I belive its time to move on and leave the game to the noobies , there nothing for a fulltemp jedi in this game anyway . : (

I saw nothing that specifically stated this.
The only hint at what you are talking about was the initial opening talking about Premium Pearls / crystalsbeing brought back after they find a proper way to do so, and Jedi can keep stuff in the interim.
I dont see this major change in the way LS work that you mention. Just a opening comment on the future of Premium Pearls / Crystals
Can you please post the specific text you are tlaking about.

The whole "Jedi will be able to keep their current Premium Pearls" in the interim makes me nervous as well. I hunted a lot for Pearls, then on top of that spent about 100 Million for them. My Saber still isn't perfect, but it is close, I will be very upset if it gets nerfed.

As Sidalo has pointed out on our galaxy forums already...
The word interim is the one we don't like.
I just read the chat and nothing new was said about sabers.

That thing thunderheart said about pearls was a cut and paste of what tiggs said in the "Pearl Update Thread" Literally. Thunderheart cut it and pasted to the chat. Knowing it'd be the most asked question. hehe.

I don't think the current pearls we use, will be the ones we use after the 'pearl revamp'.
out with the old current pearls in with the new ones.
They said the want to keep flawless and premiums rare.
I'm interpreting it as the whole player base will have a jedi is more of a possibility than finding one jedi with 4 flawless in their saber.
They can't do this now with most of us that have them preiums and flawless.
They need to eliminate the ones we have, then they can be rare again.
If a bunch of jedi quit, then the jedi purge will have been successful.

Yeah doesn't "interim" mean "at the time being", or translated to "most likely soon we'll take away those pearls"... good god.

while we are working on a way to bring back premiums into the game, during this time we are working on it, you will be able to keep your pearls.
Once premiums are back in the game, the old ones will get 'fixed' during the conversion of old pearls to new pearls

Give it a break guys. THey meant nothing but only to re-introduce the premiums and the high quality of pearls we want. You guys are over-anyalzing this. I'm sorry to be like this but just read the text and they didn't want to talk about it. THey just said they are trying to figure out a way to bring it back in the loot table. Plus, to get a premium right now, we have to fight a level 200+ creature and it will take a legion of Jedi Masters to defeat one critter of that level.
Therefore, they are trying to be fair and figure out how to factor these hard-to-get pearls and crystals back into the game without giving up the main theme of the CU.

Right now my saber is just over 300 DPS modded and I'm just as mad as any of you. There is no reason to nerf anything, take anything away from anyone, etc.etc.etc.
The only justification I could see for this would be if for some reason they completely remove crystals/pearls from the game or completely change the way they impact the resulting saber.
Kinda like what happened to holos. Otherwise this is complete BS.
