Thread: Knight Trials Have they been suspended?

Hi


It might be a stupid question but I can not find any conclusive info on how to start the Knight Trials.


I have 7 skill points left that will be used in the Jedi tree as have all the others (except the 24 for FS). From reading the forum after doing a search the story shining through is that you need to spend at least 238 points into Jedi to be able to start the trials.


Well I have that but I never got a message stating that I should visit a shrine.


Questions open:


- have the trials been suspended till the FRS goes live?

- can I check some how if I can start the trials? (I have tried on 1 shrine but it would not let me)

- can I gind out with some command what I need to do to get the trials started?

Suspended.... Until the Devs figure out a new way to screw us by switching around the FRS.

The FRS and associated Knight trials are turned off, with no ETA on restoration.


Rumors suggest it's coming back with the Trials of Obi-Wan expansion. We'll see.

Thanks for the tough love there but for your information I was a post-CU Jedi so NO... I was not a 'fight clubber'. Thanks for checking up on me though. The 'screwed' I am referring to is that they aren't telling us what the FRS is going to involve and therefore we can not plan for it in anyway.


It's going to be like playing the lottery when the FRS comes out.... are they going to base it on PvP rating (adv to PvP'ers) or will they make it a vote (like the old Light Jedi way - adv to those in Jedi guilds) or will they make it about duels (adv to those with pre-CU sabers). I don't know ....


But do me a favor and next time try not to make so many assumptions about one sentence. MORON.

I'm pretty sure the knight trials have been off for over SEVEN MONTHS now. FFS. I have no quests left to do and I dont see why I should keep buying expansions when I cant further the character I set out to get when I bought the damned game. I mean, ffs, if they didn't want Jedi in this timeline, then the bastards should stop running game trailers with jedi in them.

7 Months I've been padawan, for what? I'm just walking around aimlessly on planets with nothing to do. *sigh* anyone up for doing DWB with me on chimaera so I can get a backpack? Its about all that's left.

The knight trials went out the window with the CU, just like all the other things that I loved about SWG.

The fact is guys, there really is no decent excuse for knight trials to have been suspended for 7 months. If they wanted to revamp them, they could have left the current knight trials system in place until such time as implementing a new one, that had been tested on the test center. I don't believe they have anyintention of relaunching the trials. Why would they? They can make a new expansion (based onexisting sprites and templates)and up the subscription, cut back on CSR training and make even MORE money?! Business strategy. **edit** the vets, launch an expansion which makes noobs feel like this is a new and vibrant game, and they know nothing of jedi trials.


Ohhh and on the subject of the dreaded CSR team, I returned to SWG after a month break from its lack of things to do onlyto find a reply to one of my tickets. I mentioned how I was unable to finish 7 Kashyyyk quests as they're bugged, and CSR's response was that SWG "is unable to fix bugs or to reset quests from mission givers". SWG is unable to fix bugs? God damned **edit**ing lazy bastards. I officially have NOTHING to do in game now. 'cept maybe get the banes heart. Anyone wanna help me?


If the knight trials arent sorted out by the Obi-Wan expansion, I'm ebaying this account and getting all the money back I've ever put into this god forsaken game.

Well what CSRs were telling us on lowca is that the FRS will be inactive for 2-4 weeks for Repecing into the new mods....and they'd reactivate it...everyone waited and hated the game. 2 more months went past and the chancellor and overlord ebayed, then following 90% of each sides council members and rank9's and 8's quit or ebayed. lol

To my inderstanding, the original intention was to have FRS off for the respec period then turn it on when everyone was done. Now, becasue once you are a Knight you can't drop below the required spent SP to keep your Knight title, they have to completly disable the FRS. If I was you I would not hold my breath for your progress in the old trials to carry ober to the new. They will most likely make the FRS a mix of PvP and quest based. Anyway, good luck.
