After reading about this ridiulously uneccesary snare being added to cloak, I felt like yet another nail has been driven into the SWG coffin.

There's absolutely no need for a majority of things the Devs have implemented from the beginning, and that goes double for the CU.

This game was supposed to be balanced after the CU, but it's really justthe same old crap.

Combat Medics are overpowered, Jedi are underpowered, and to top it all off, the Entertainer and Crafter professions are just a joke now.

I can't believe that two years after launch, this game is actually less fun, than it was it when it came out.

Sad.

And balanced?

Oh yeah, every profession has a unique weapon that does basically the same amount of damage, relative to speed, and every profession has unique special attacks, that do the same thing, (root, snare, KD, power hit, etc.), as every other profession.

That's right, every player is basically identical to each other at level 80, with just a different wrapper on the outside.

That's the Devs idea of balance?

Pathetic.

“I think George has always seen movie making and video games to be very closely related…..he cares about telling stories, and these are two different mediums in which you might tell a story”

I think we were able to “tell” better stories, when we had player interdependency, and multiple, variable classes.

Gawd, how could I have forgotten that?

The ONE thing that was supposedly going to be eliminated by the CU was the mind bar wars.

That is really the true indicator of just how equally screwed up the pre-CU, and CU systems both are.

At least the oldsystem was entertaining.

But yes, they both have the same problems.

I frankly am amazed at how identical the problems are between the old, and the new.

Jesus guys "cry me a river". You jedi think just because you played the game more than some or grinded out hours of xp that you are automatically going to win every fight. Ever considered that there might just be better players out there with templates that suit fighting force sensative characters. JEDI are balanced atm and when you start getting prem pearls again you'll be balanced with a slight tip in your favour.

Oh and that comment while has SOME merrit (in order to make the game balanced like you seem to be crying its not) is a little false. First off not everyone has root (pistoleer is one ranged profession can't think of another), MCM has a load of unique abilities, swordsman has AB so does jedi and rangers have traps, medics have buffs and others have intim, dizzy etc etc. So there are plenty of skills that are unique to lots of professions within this game.

Stop crying learn how to counter the templates you can't beat and most of all ..... HAVE FUN

"Combat Medics are overpowered, Jedi are underpowered," --- Original poster said this !!!!!!!!!!

Read the post and its quite obvious. Another jedi got his arse handed by a good MBH/MCM and wants to nerf the profession he is having problems fighting instead of learning, practicingand adapting to a new system

Please... read carefully... noone is talkin about underpower of ANY profession. Only about the so simple way the game is right now.

Btw.. since CU only 3 BH were able to defeat me, and came to me more that 100. And MBH/MCM are the more funny to kill... cause when they run out of mind they run like little scary girls

I'm not "crying" that Jedi aren't uber.

I was just stating my opinion that really, almost ALL professions are identical. As far as Jedi goes, big deal. The days of Jedi being "special", or "cool" are LONG gone.

And as far as the diversity you seem to imply exsits, my point was that a LVL 80 toon has almost all of those attacks (through a combination of professions).

Cookie cutter.

I've tried to have fun, but for some reason, I feel like SOE just doesn't want that to happen.

I'll tell you what was fun.

Crafters that made WAY better stuff than loot drops now.

Doctors that exceled in making the best buffs possible, from high qaulity resources.

Entertainers with nice mods that gave "killer" mind buffs.

Mobs that dropped LOOT!

Does that make it a little eaiser for you to understand?

Simplification seems to be necessay for a large percentage of the subscriber base though.

That's the only reason I can see the CU was ever implemented in the first place.

The game was basically "too hard" for some people before.

Not anymore.

Point, click, wait, rinse, repeat.

Fun.

At least one person saw this post for what is was.

So many little kids on these forums like to throw out these trite, tired, and pointless reponses.

"Cry more nub"

That's really using yourgrey matter there, Junior.

No one killed me, and I don't want CM's nerfed.

We've ALL (i.e. every profession)been nerfed enough by the CU in general,as far as I'm concerned.

Stay in school, learn to read.

So why say MCM's are over powered and jedi are underpowered. If you are talking about game play then why did you say that line. It seems painfully obvious to me. That very statementsays volumes about the post, or it did to me as well as the title of the thread "to the force" not "the game". Everyone reads things differently i suppose, but if you are indeed the high and mighty grown up you claim i'm not then you'd of guessed that wouldn't you.

Your problem imo is you post. It contradicts itself in so many ways. You seem to want balance but then (interpretation) complain that everyone has unique weapons with similar damage and speed. IF this wasn't the case then woudln't it be unbalanced ?. My point previously is that there are a lot of unique abilities that no other profession has its not all the same as you say it is.

I think I read that post just fine, but perhaps because I have an open mind and can see a point of view from both sides of the fence and not just the jedi's I'm just a kid.
