Thread: Where do adhesives drop these days?

I'm looking specifically for orange rug or blue rug adhesive, if it helps.
Last night I slaughtered Meatlumps for an hour and got nada... only "new" loot like cheap copper batteries, streetlamp schems, etc...
Slaughtered Fort Tusken for a while and got one blue crystal (off a commoner, of all things) besides the usual tusken stuff.
I've been doing Imperial Destroy missions on Dantooine; no loot kit components at all, either.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I looted a blue adhesive the other night from some blood razor initiates during the "Droid Head Quest"

Weird, I was going to reply with he exact same thing (although I thought they were Black Sun?) After taking out the 15-ish mobs at the camp, I ended up with a blue rugadhesive, a few blank canvases, and various odds and ends (a couple weapons, a locked container, etc).

Talk to a protocol droid in Moenia to kick it off (sorry, can't remember his name off-hand, but a quick search on "droid head mission" in the quest forum should pull it up). He sends you to find his master, who sends you to take out a camp of Black Sun. There's about 15 NPCs in the group, although they're not too tough to take out. I did it with just armor and food buffs, plus "peeling off" a few at a time from the main group instead of taking on all of them at once. Then there's a quest section in space (no memorable loot), and after finally going back to the original droid you get a schematic for a protocol droid head.

has anyone had the schem made its just sittign i my inventory and im wonderign if it attaches to the droid body schem

The blue rug adhesive is a reward and not a loot drop.
The droid head once built may not be reattached to the headless droid, but looks cool sitting on a table near it
As far as adhesives go, I haven't looted ANY loot kit items lately, though haven't really been farming for them.

I'm beginng to think that myself... that the loot kit items are turned off. That blue rug adhesive from the Black Sun camp is the ONLY piece of loot kit loot I've seen in the past three days. Meatlumps. Tuskens. Skaak Tippers. Rebels. Valarians. Spice fiends. Nothing.

just take a galaxy-wide look at the bazaar. hardly any loot kit parts left there...either the stuff doesnt drop at all anymore or has been dramatically reduced...Prices for rugs are going to go up soon...

When I did the Droid Head Quest i also looted a Blue Rug Adhesive.. btyw Yes, they are Black Suns. The spawn on Talus is 100 meters out of my front door. Been forced to kill them many... many.. many times. (BTW, I believe you only get the adhesive as a reward, not by farming these guys. I've unintentionally tested this because I foolishly thought there was a chance of them dropping BH armour.. also doesn't happen)

They stopped dropping from low level MOBs almost one month ago. Right after I sold 38 of them at 100k each. Tell me the guy who bought them all isn't psychic or in the developer loop somehow LOL....
