I got the DDL as well. I woundn't trade my Varactyl for the world. There are plenty of them IG now, but as you said, there won't be as many in a few weeks. I understand that they are not as fast as the BARC or anything else, but I like it as a collectors item.

Hmm...very nice argument. The value scales tip considerably toward the BARC when you consider your bias toward the Varactyl and the durability of both mounts.

Consider the Varactyl's durability against a BARC's:

Sure the Varactyl is safer to use in dangerous situations, but eventually (after a VERY long time) it will die like all other pets. You could use a vitality pack to keep it alive, but eventually even its vitality status will become 0 and it will be unusable.

The BARC on the other-hand may explode in an ungodly torrent of flame and destruction, but unlike other mounts, it can be un-disabled using a Master Artisan BARC kit. This could be repeated indefinitately without limit. So the only way a BARC could ever truely be destroyed would be if a newbie /deleted it without knowing it could be repaired.

In the FAR distant future Varactyls will become scarce and thus more valuable, but it will not be as an effective mountas the BARC. I do believe that trading a BARC for a Varactyl is a fair enough, but like the RIS suit has taught us; just because its rare and valuable doesn't mean ithas a viable function.

So in closing I just dont see how my offer could be considered unfair when realisticaly Id be ripping myself off..

However thats is only my opinion and the reason I made this post to see what others think. and to make sure my thinking is not off the wall.
