Thread: New Vet Rewards show utter lack of creativity

I've read all the posts about how the devs don't really owe us anything....blah blah. But the point is that they solicted suggestions for the the 24 month award, and they regurgitated a quest item with a different jacket. Seriously, has this game become nothing more than collecting items in to put in a house? This was the best the devs could think of???In theory the galactic civil war is supposd to be the focus of this game, but it is just short of completely broken. It doesn't matter how manyimperial NPCs I kill or how many bases my guild takes down, because they're just gone throw somemore bases downalmost immediately.There is no progression in this game, no end goal, no nothing. While being a Jedi was the closest thing to "Winning" the game, not anymore. Well I'll probably log on tonight and sell my hologram for a few mil to somebody who has just bought about 12 of them because they bought 100million credits off of ebay that were probably originally exploited. Maybe I should I go buy a billion credits off of ebay so I can buy a 10 million credit pistol, 12 or soADKs for my armor, pistol, and PSG, and +25 attachments to max out my slots.With all that, then maybe I could be viable in PvP. Then i'll go fight, and clone about 6 times in twently minutes.
Sorry I digress, but the point is that the new vet rewards are a symptom of the greater sickness!

Honestly, I was dissapointed by the 2 year veteran reward, especially after they had thrown out so many great ideas and asked for peoples input on the matter. The only thing that was available was a Death Star Hologram. The fact of the matter is, not only is it a hologram, its probably the most boring hologram out there, with the only exception perhaps being the jellyfish holo. Its a sphere, woooooo.... wake me up when its over!
Im hoping that maybe they werent able to develop the rewards they were talking about in time, and they just released this to buy themselves three more months to make them for the next milestone reward. One can only hope.

Well some people have worked hard for their money. An easy way to get some easy money is harvestor farms. Aslo taking atvantage of what is selling alot and for alot of money now. Armor is one.A suit can sell for 500k and for what? a few reosources and a little time invested. Also a suit of armor would be 9 ADKs unless you add a belt in which case it would be 10....Yes the vet rewards were crap but complaing because your not rich instead of going out and making money is not the way to deal with it.

It's easy to read their marketing strategy. Most of their customers don't last beyond 12-15 months. That's why the gifts are so plentiful and useful right up to the 12-month mark. Starting at the 15-month mark, they're geegaws.
The 2 year veteran reward says just one thing to me...
"What? You're still here?"

Don't talk about making armor unless you've done it post-CU.. Armor takes a ton of resources now and 3 or 4 different factory runs before final output. Armor is well worth the price people are paying, it's a pain in the ass to collect the resources and then filter them all into the different factory runs required. Try it for yourself and you'll see..

thats why i decided to quit this game when i logged in only to find that my choices for 5 more rewards (anniversary) were almost ALL HOLOGRAMS.
seriously w-t-f gives? dev's didnt even get these rewards out until well after those marks, gave the community a list of very cool things they were considering as rewards, asked for our input and most of the responses were along the lines of "wow a new bunker house!! that sounds really awesome!! so does the at-pt!!!"and they didn't listen to us at all. instead they got lazy and made a bunch of stupid holograms. it wouldve been a little different if we got a rug, some new funiture, a hat or something, maybe some sunglasses, a cool painting, you know... DIFFERENT items... but NOPE. seriously... they didnt even add new miniatures... oh wait except for the CU-PA................... IT DOESNT EVEN FIT IN WITH THE THEME OF THE REST. WHERES MY MINIATURE DARTH VADER ACTION FIGURE? OR MY MINI MILLENIUM FALCON.. OR WHATEVERR... EVEN A MINI RANCOR!!! nope... A CU-PA!!! it's just obvious how much thought went into these.

1 year reward....
- Anti-Decay Kit (ADK)
- A Control Array
- A Holonet Tracking Console
- Holonet Databank
- Main Systems Databank
- Stormtrooper Miniature
- Jabba Miniature.
2 year reward....
- Death Star hologram
Props to the 3 devs that still work on this game.....must have taken weeks to think of that one.
With each passing publish....with each passing patch note....with everytime I am shown the Devs lack of imagination....I move myself closer to the Cancel account button.
Utterly disapointed in the SWG Dev staff....I wonder if J.S. is aware of what is happening to this game and how the community feels they are being treated.

Well thank you I have made armor. They dont take much resources, you have to consider people can havest much much more resources than before with scout/ranger. I use my friends armorsmith alt to make armor the guild and yes from layers and core to apperance. It takes time but if you are dedicated then you can make a crap load of money for very very little effort. It just takes time. Its like an investment, you invest a little time effort and money now and you can get great rewards later.

Why does everyone think they DESERVE a reward for being around for 2 years?? You play this game they dont make you. Now say if you were forced to play this game and you hated it then maybe you might deserve a reward, but no you play this game for fun, right? And if not please cancel your account within the next 5 min because if you dont like it you shouldent be playing. Another reason you dont deserve rewards is because ever since the CU 5/6th the post on any fourm are whiny little brats who need to wake up a smell the CU. If you dont like it leave. If there are so many bugs go play some non exist game that doesnt have any, havent heard of any game that doesnt have bugs.

i like the holograms, would have rather had a full set of mando armor but that should be like 5 year reward, if anyone is left besides me
