Thread: Disapointed with 24 month vet award.

I don't play the game for the awards, but still it doesn't seems very logical thatIgot really nice functional items like ADK kits, and self powered harvestors for early milestones, and my only options at the 2 year markare all decorative. I don't even own a house.

I think we're all pretty disappointed in the two-year reward. And pretty much the rest of the Veteran rewards, excluding the old ones.

I just like the cool, collectable nature of the rewards. Naturally, the ADK and Luxury Yacht are very fine rewards.

My opinion: Complaining about a gift, where I'm from, and the way I was raised, is considered VERY bad form. I mean, if anyone knows my forum posting pattern, I rail on the dev team like it's cool. But what did you want the devs to give? A free Jedi character? Jedi Starfighters or ARC-170s all around? 2-3 ADK's? 5 million credits? What?

well they said they were thinking of things like a personal AT-PT vehicle, a new "bunker" style house, and many other things. but no, what did they do? they gave us decorations. the thing that pisses me off the most is that they got so lazy they couldn't even give us different paintings or other items, almost EVERY reward is a hologram, and even the anniversary gifts were holograms.... that is just pathetic. it is very obvious the devs are a bunch of lazy assh0les.

Its an absolute kick in the teeth to be honest. And it just goes to show how little the developers actually care about the people who have stuck with this game through thick and thin.


Never forget this : SOE's mission statement is to attract as many new customers as possible by enhancing the jedi profession and adding trash like kashykk to the game with its rewards that dont even fit into the time frame that the game is set in. They dont give a cr ap about starwars or this game. They just care about the revenue they can generate from new sales of the game.

THe plant is the two year reward. Thats odd. I set up my accoun last August (didn't play for four mounth because it didn't work on my computer) I loged on got my Yatch with I shouldn't have gotten, thenI got the one years award 2 mounths ago
now i get the two years award and I haven't even been playing for a year

Complaining about a gift IS extremely rude.. However..


1. We're all paying customers. Many of us are disappointed with the product and getting a disappointing gift is just adding insult to injury.


2. The devs asked for input and also gave details on some really cool and useful things, which got our hopes up high.

Well, I think you guys are all confused, what we got with p20 was this, 9 month vet reward, and the 2 year ANIVERSARY reward.

We also got the 15, 18, 21, and 24 month vetern rewards.


The anniversarygift was the lambda shuttle and corvette holograms.

What makes this worse, is the new rewards do not even fit into the rewards program as it is designed.

There are suppose to be reward for eachof the 3 catagories.

Now if you play for six months you get a new Soro Subb but if you play for 2 years well you get

a house plant!

What the heck is going on!

sure a good disapointment thread here and there is great, but wow some of you lol. if your THAT disapointed in this game and SOE then why still play. atleast we are given free items. this is like the only MMO game that does give out vet rewards.

it was a mistake for SOE to give out an ADK bc now thats ALL anyone ever expects anymore. if you dont like the ietm you get sell it, and in no time you can buy yourself another ADK and it will be like x-mass all over agian


lol well theres my rant lol.

sure i love the holos, ijust think SOE might be streching it thin with sooo many at one time.

The gifts are fine, every time they gave away something valuable the game got affected in some way. It probably started with the Christmas 2003 holo give-away, the ADK's were a BAD idea under the old system (it's not so game-breaking now) - it allowed for undestructible monstrous weapons (remember 4k dmg T21 ?), the immortal melee BH's (PSG's) etc.


I strongly believe that this is the way it should be, something with no real impactonany game system (economy, combat etc.).
