ya I remember the holo give away... at the time the holocron value was far more useful and valuable than the hologram. But oh well.. it's free, I can't complain

A deathstar holo. Pitiful. I read that developer thread about the AT-PT and was wow. The Devs should never post their vision, it just generates disappointment:
i.e:
- The Smuggler/Slicing Mini-Game
- The Droid Invasion
- The Village & Jedi
- The CU
- The Imperial Crackdown
The CU is better in some ways, but their press and vision is not even close to what's delivered.

I am very disappointed with the 2-year reward.
The main reason for this is THs post for ideas, where he proposed AT-PT, bunkers (great stuff).
Now veteran players are rewarded an equivalent item that a 30 day old player can receive.
Also, the Deathstar hologram is visually weak. It is a round ball 
I'd rather have a friggin' hologram of the deathstar half completed, or a looping hologram of the destruction of the first.

They had so many good idea's and to give us decorations for our house is a bunch of crap. The adk was so cool, and the yaht, but now after almost 2 years of playing I get a decoration for a house. I'm to lazy to decorate and couldnt give a sh*t about doing it, I play this game for fun and content not so I can have a nice looking house that I never even go in.

My opinion: Complaining about a gift, where I'm from, and the way I was raised, is considered VERY bad form. I mean, if anyone knows my forum posting pattern, I rail on the dev team like it's cool. But what did you want the devs to give? A free Jedi character? Jedi Starfighters or ARC-170s all around? 2-3 ADK's? 5 million credits? What?

Yeah join the club. pretty much everyone thinks the new rewards stink. ADK at 12 months, and a ...holo... for twice that long??? Who at SOE thought that made sense. Truly sad in my opinion.

I personally would've preferred if the vet rewards modified your character instead of giving it items (ESPECIALLY giving it USELESS, poorly-designed items). For example, maybe an extra 10 skillpoints at 24 months, or permanent skill bonuses to your character? It'd be better than ADKs or Holocrons (We all remember Christmas '02, start of the Hologrind) and it wouldn't ruin the economy.
