As for the frequency... well I have been killing those and other high end MOBs for over and year and have never gotten one.

I'd say about 1/100,000. Night sisters, rancors, krayts and some other high end NPCs all drop them, but there's no real specific thing to kill to get them.

Just about any type of loot dropping NPC can drop an exceptional. I've seen exceptional broken binoculars that dropped off an aa'kuan, an exceptional DX2 pistol that dropped off one of the dune stalkers or some other NPC in the krayt graveyard, my buddy looted exceptional advanced pistol barrels off Mellichae running the mission for someone. Nightsisters are a good bet but it'll usually take alot of hunting before you'll get an exceptional drop. There's a simple way to make sure you have the best chance possible to get an exceptional: kill every single NPC you come across, and /loot it.

Think I was getting an exceptional weapon on average of 1/1000 of killing NS's I've looted about 6 exceptional weapons, exceptional leather twice, exceptional clasps twice, exeptional blaster pistol barrels, 1 legendary weapon and a couple of exceptional armor pieces (armor comes from rancors)

they can drop from any npc but the more powerful the npc the better chance to get one and the better it generally is. I have seen a 700-2400 legendary T21 with a 500 health or action dot

its all random and about a million to 1 even if that you could spend ages hunting ns and never get one, and a first time master swordsman could walk along pop 1 or 2 and get one straight away.

1 in about 100000 for ledgendary

If your killing lots of NS make sure its outcasts, there are rumors they drop exceptionals the most

Hmm..I have been playing since day 1. I have killed and killed and killed just about everything in this game. Probably 5000NS alone.

How often does a exceptional/legendary item drop. Like a weapon per say?

I have seen people say they have looted several of them.

None for me..never one. Just how rare are they? I mean what does it take?????

I hear people loot fabulous exceptional weapons off of the lowest NS, the outcast....
