These things are so potentially destructive and game breaking, I wonder...are you TRYING to get the servers shut down?
Tired of it all? wanting to move on to other projects?
Who's idea were these exactly?
I use to play d and d a lot. And every now and then some new guy would want to be the DM and before that nights adventures were over everyone in the party would have a ring of wishes, or an artifact or psionics. Gods in other words. New guy thought everyone would like him for these gifts, and he handed them out for that reason
This is exactly the same thing. Only now you have players selling their ADK's to other players and the super rich uber players are just going to be more super rich and uber when the dust settles.
I could write pages of the way this is, will and has hurt the players already. You have to see how bad these can be. Please, take them out or change their function or something.
This is not a good gift people

I think they are a nice addition. Now even the more poor players who are vets can have the choice of anti-decaying a weapon of their choice or selling it for 10-15 mil, making them instant multi-millionaires. So I have to ask, would you really want to find/buy/make an uber weapon or piece of armor, and not wear it because you're afraid it's going to decay? Before ADK's I had a slew of hella nice weapons and armor that I refused to wear/use on most occassions because I was afraid it would break, where is the fun in not using what you buy or find because your worried about it?
I can only imagine some of the vets that play who have never seen 10 mil in their bank at once are absolutely thrilled, and face it man, good stuff costs money, devs have tried to make prices lower but it just doesn't work, they keep screwing the loot up and just making things more valuable. If I was a poor player who got to the 180 day mark I'd be happy to know I could sell it for a nice chunk of cash.

Thanks for illuminating my point. Here is a prime example of why these are game breaking. In your above post not only will everyone eventually be millionaires, but also have a stockpile of totally immortal weaponry. If everyone on your server were a millionaire could you imagine what the economy in-game will be like? that alone will be worse than the credit duping.
What if everyone who did have an exceptional weapon could use it without fear of losing it to decay...who could regulate those players and keep them from dominating every engagement they fought in? no one. New players wouldn't have a chance of competing, old players would get tired of never being challenged in anything, wether it be finance management or combat.....Servers shut down... next game please

ur being slightly overzellous...... adks are a good idea for those of us who have slaved for hours to find our uber weapons. Some may argue that its bad and most say its good.... its a matter of opinion.

The money isnt just appearing from nowhere, and if you have been playing for 180 days im sure most of those players would have gathered a few million by then.

couldn't agree more, and also:
to recap:
1. the anti decay kits can be used on weapons, armor, psg's, clothes, anything insurable (but not jetpacks, backpacks or meroj mellons)
2. When you destroy the item you get the kit back (so you can use them in ur uber exceptional weapons to kill kreetles or in your crappy curved sword to grind with, and then into your grind ing powerhammer until you get an exceptional one)
3. the kits are tradeable, and more than 1 can be used by the same person
4. they can be used in lightsabers which will make the crystals/pearls inside not decay and you can interchange the crystals
5. you will get the reward when you hit the 1-year mark, you didn't miss out if you haven't been playing 1 year yet, and new ppl are hitting 1-year each day so these kits will not become extinct just because ppl are buying them and using them up
6. It will not put crafters out of business, it should in fact make them strive to make better weapons so ppl will destroy th ones they have now to get back their kits and buy the better weapons to use, also there are very few ppl with enough kits to anti decay a full set of gear
7. It will not make powerups non-decayable, you will still need to insert powerups, and DoT's will still lose charges when used, and you can still insert attachments after using the kit, as well as change color etc.
8. No DEV has posted ANYTHING about nerfing the kits ability to be reused..it's all speculation, nor have they said it's only temporary
9. I would suggest a full suit of 90% base sliced stun armor with 4 sockets for those good attachments, sliced stun psg and exceptional weapon..=uberness
10. these things are just yummy
and finally let me end by saying I now have 14 kits and am working on getting4 maybe5 more...(no I don't buy ebay credits or rip off noobs..200 mil really isn't that hard to make in less han a month if you have some skill and persistance..) 4 for my armor, 4 for my gf's armor, 2 for our psg's, 2 for our acklay ph's, 2 for our scythes, 4 for our lightsabers, and maybe 1 more for n uber shirt I made and don't wan to lose. Maybe I won't ever need to buy armor or weapons again..but then again if some comes along better than what I have now..say a full set of 90% kin 39% stun all with 4 sockets, I'd prolly buy it, or a ph with 900+ dmg. But the real point is that A. My not buying armor anymore isn't going to put any AS or WS out of business, because B. Like I said, I have 14 kits...which means there are 14 other players who now have 0 kit's, and must continue to buy these things. Not to mention, C. A VERY small percent of the total population has a full set of anti decay stuff. And finally D. there are now 14 ppl who are 12-15 mil credits richer because of this, half of which never had more than 5 mil..and can now enjoy the game that much more. And I totally agree with the other guy, I had a very nice scythe I was always afraid to use because each time I would swing it I could hear 25k flying out the window. So it sat as a decoration in my house. What fun is that? Now it's anti decayed and being used, and I couldn't be happier. The guy I bought the kit from is 15 mil richer, he couldn't be happier. And when a WS makes a scythe better than the one I'm using, I'll buy it, prolly for about 10-god knows how many credits..and he will be happy as well..win win situation. And if your going to say "yeah but now ppl with uber weapons can outloot everyone with their anti-decayed exceptional weapons.." I say CRY MORE NOOB! and stop whining..when I started playing I was wearing bone armor and mabari crap lik everyone else with some lammo wepon I bought off the bazaar. Now I have good stuff..and guess what..whining isn't what got me there. Striving to make credits and find god loot is what got me there. Anyone can do it if you set your mind to it.
this is not intended as a flame to the original poster of this thread neccasarily, but instead to all the ppl complaining about ad kits recently..I'm sick of it. And btw having a full set of anti decay stuff doesn't make you uber..it just makes ur armor not break rofl. Sure having a nice psg ad'd is nice and an exceptional weapon ad'd even nicer..but the % of ppl with good exceptional weapons is even lower than the % of ppl wih a full set of anti decay stuff...and if you put your mind to it you can earn enough creds to buy one yourself, instead of whining about the ppl who actually play the game and have earned theirs. I mean take for instance: you go to fight the acklay or Nyax and get outlooted by a rifleman with a nice gun..do you A. whine about how it's "not fair" that this guy is simply better than you (and he didn't get that way over night..{with the exception of the e-babies}) or B. say Hmmm..looks like I need to either adjust my template or go earn some creds and make myself better so that I can outloot this guy? If you said A, you should maybe think about playing some of the nice Star Wars themed single player games.

and oh yeah..even if everyone on the server ahd 15 mil..so what..I can easily spen 15 mil in 1 day..it's certainly not enough to retire on in this game..and if everyone did have that much, the economy would simply balance itself out...the value of credits would go down and prices would skyrocket, but the money would obviously be easier to come by..yes it might make it harder for brand new players, but it's a right of passage, I made swoops to sell for months before i ever saw my first 1 mil..it didn't make me want to quit..it made me look for better ways of making money. If ur looking for instant easy gratification go play KOTOR. This is supposed to be a free open market..don't complain that you can't afford an anti decay kit when others can have 20...it makes you sound like a communist.
again this is not aimed at the original poster of this thread, but to all the whiners who have been complaining recently.
ps sry if this sounds bitter or whatever..it's almost 6am and I'm tired lol

exactly, I think the main intention in giving us adk's was to A. reward long time players with something absolutely yummy, and mainly B. to redistribute the wealth out to some of the less wealthy players..and I must say both plans worked great

Um the money does have to come from somewhere, and with the reduction of solo group methods down to the atst group, one really can't inflate the economy any more than it already is. When a "rich" person buys an anti-decay kit, the money in the "rich" person's account is thus moved to someone else's account. More money isn't created, its simply moved around.
I've got only 2 kits myself. I've been playing for 4 months, and would have no way of aquiring them other than through sale. But I made my money through various means, invested it into making my character into a more efficient mob killer, and made back my investment with quite a nice profit. My character's equipment and inventory has a resale value of 90mil on Corbantis, yet I've never seen bank myaccount hit 47 mil.
ADK's allow me to not have to use a junk hammer when I wail ona krayt or elder, and actually allow me to enjoy the investment I made into my hammer. Especially with the current loot system apparently still in disarray. No matter how many adks you have, you can still die. ADK's can't make you a god, and they can't make you a better player by themselves.
For example, in fighting a high end mob such as an elder, there is no gear that will protect someone unskilled in combating them. An ADK will save a weapon from wearing down, or armor from losing condition, but it doesn't stop damage.
If one were to manage to find a LEGENDARY weapon, it would automatically deserve an ADK. Why, because LEGENDARY weapons live up to their namesake. EXTREMELY Rare and EXTREMELY Deadly. But again, no matter what weapon is anti-decayed, that player is by no means a God, as every template has at least one that can beat it.
Also in regards to armor, one who manages to anti-decay a whole set of armor will spend approximately 90 million to do so on my server. The armorsmith isn't hurt because no one goes through 90mil worth of armor. In fact, it allows the newly made millionares the ability to purchase suits of armor more freely as it allows them a great more deal of buying power. The weaponsmith will still make a great deal of profit on the high end of the spectrum as well. And prices would be more likely to drop as the demand for weapons is reduced, but never to the point of complete extinction of sales, as not every player will have the means of purchasing a high end weapon and anti-decaying it.
Please try and validate your point.
By the way, if anything, I believeyou're looking at the wrong issue, you probably should focus your energy towards the CU, as that will really make or break the game for quite a few players. One of the biggest problems I see is that there are very few combat designs that allow for high end looting, especially from a solo aspect.
