I'm sorry, I've spent 100's of millionson weapons and armor throughout my SWG career, and I can guarentee there are many others who have. I think it is about time some of the crafting professions aren't the richest players in the game thanks. Before ADK's, I was buying a new armor piece of armor because one was completely broken almost every other day, and don't get me started on weapons. This is only playing a total of maybe 4-5 hours a night, even when finding good loot and selling it for alot, weapons, food, and armor have always taken a huge chunk of my income, almost on a daily basis.

If they took away ADK's now after teasing us with them, I'd cancel.

Just remember, these people, who are anti-decaying there new-to-be immortal weapons, will be using those weapons to slay things like Krayts and the like, and bringing components to smiths like yourself to make better weapons. With so many people with better weapons killing these mobs, that equals more components on the market and more crafters getting a hold of them. I don't know about your server man, but on Sunrunner, there is a handful of good smiths, both armor and weapons, who even keep a half-way decent stock of weapons in the first place. I forsee more crafters getting their product out there and less poor-quality vendors that noone buys from.

Also to add, you mentioned about how the economy would be if everyone was a multi-millionaire, well, I hardly know anyone who isn't. There is a population of players who don't have that kind of money, but that is usually because they are casual players, or they aren't at all interested in making multi-millions just to have fun. The fact of the matter is dude, take a look at your local loot, crystals/pearls, "good" weapons and armor, and food vendors. Do you see what I see? Wow, food is expensive, and you need a lot of it to be able to kill anything challenging. Damn, that nice krayt rifle that I want is a couple million. Full suit of pre-sliced armor, with decent slices.....yeesh. Just became Jedi and looking for good pearls/crystals? Yikes, a couple million each.

It's just the way the game is, everything good is expensive, and not enough of the community was getting their hands on it. Now more people have that chance.

And just to mention it again, some of us players had/have to replace armor and weapons everyday because of decay. There is ALWAYS going to be players who still have to replace these items everyday, for a long, long time. I feel bad for those who have too, because I've been doing it for over a year now.

Um the money does have to come from somewhere, and with the reduction of solo group methods down to the atst group, one really can't inflate the economy any more than it already is. When a "rich" person buys an anti-decay kit, the money in the "rich" person's account is thus moved to someone else's account. More money isn't created, its simply moved around.

I've got only 2 kits myself. I've been playing for 4 months, and would have no way of aquiring them other than through sale. But I made my money through various means, invested it into making my character into a more efficient mob killer, and made back my investment with quite a nice profit. My character's equipment and inventory has a resale value of 90mil on Corbantis, yet I've never seen bank myaccount hit 47 mil.

ADK's allow me to not have to use a junk hammer when I wail ona krayt or elder, and actually allow me to enjoy the investment I made into my hammer. Especially with the current loot system apparently still in disarray. No matter how many adks you have, you can still die. ADK's can't make you a god, and they can't make you a better player by themselves.

For example, in fighting a high end mob such as an elder, there is no gear that will protect someone unskilled in combating them. An ADK will save a weapon from wearing down, or armor from losing condition, but it doesn't stop damage.

If one were to manage to find a LEGENDARY weapon, it would automatically deserve an ADK. Why, because LEGENDARY weapons live up to their namesake. EXTREMELY Rare and EXTREMELY Deadly. But again, no matter what weapon is anti-decayed, that player is by no means a God, as every template has at least one that can beat it.

Also in regards to armor, one who manages to anti-decay a whole set of armor will spend approximately 90 million to do so on my server. The armorsmith isn't hurt because no one goes through 90mil worth of armor. In fact, it allows the newly made millionares the ability to purchase suits of armor more freely as it allows them a great more deal of buying power. The weaponsmith will still make a great deal of profit on the high end of the spectrum as well. And prices would be more likely to drop as the demand for weapons is reduced, but never to the point of complete extinction of sales, as not every player will have the means of purchasing a high end weapon and anti-decaying it.

Please try and validate your point.

By the way, if anything, I believeyou're looking at the wrong issue, you probably should focus your energy towards the CU, as that will really make or break the game for quite a few players. One of the biggest problems I see is that there are very few combat designs that allow for high end looting, especially from a solo aspect.

well I was gonna highligh the best parts of this post, but I guess I'd have to highlight the whole thing lol..thx for putting what I was trying to say into better words I will highlight the part that I forgot to mention tho and which is 100% on the money

one last thing to give a more direct reply to your post before I go to bed...yes the +5 Vorpal Blades of Slaying and Rings of Wishing and +5 Mithril Mail's your guest DM were handing out made your players god-like..but it's not a good comparison...AD kits do not make one uber....excptional weapons don't even make one uber unless their in the right hands..skill and experience is what makes one good in this game..and let's not forget that before you can anti decay that uber exceptional weapon..you have to aquire the weapon first If they handedout Legendary weapons for the 1 year reward instead of ad kits I could see your point, but the only way ad kits can make you stronger is by putting em on PSG's so if that elder spawns with a stun baton she won't break it in 4 whacks.I have 14 ad kits..and not 1 single exceptional anything to stick em on..just some pretty high quality stuff that anyone else with a few mil could also be using..mine just doesn't decay. and as soon as a WS or AS makes some better than what I have, I'll be more than happy to shell out the ridiculous amount of creds I'm sure they will be asking for it.

ADK's are a veteran reward. These are the people that have withstood the multiple jedi revamps,

the weapons nerf, the Creature Handler re-tooling, etc etc etc.

If someone is short sighted enough to sell their reward, then they will reap the benefits.

And the folks that have spent months doing crafting professions(making lots of credits),

now is their chance to enjoy the combat aspects of the game that they have been missing out.

People that have been loyal and been playing longer should have advantages over people that have

not. We did not have vehicles, chef food, decent buffs, tremendous armor, nor the vast information

that has been gathered and posted on these forums.

This post is not intended as a flame, I merely disagree with original posters opinion.

ur being slightly overzellous...... adks are a good idea for those of us who have slaved for hours to find our uber weapons. Some may argue that its bad and most say its good.... its a matter of opinion.

im sorry I just do not see your point, the ADK's do not make you uber powerful, they just make it so when you use the item or die it does not decay, which in turn makes you be able to wear it longer, it does NOT mean that with an ADK I will be able PWN who ever I see

the point is if you have an ADK or not to put on your uber weapon/armor, will will still have the uber weapon/armor

I myself have a 27% stun 90% base armor suit I do not have an ADK on it, but I still use it, I also have a 40% stun 75% armor suit I do NOT have an ADK on itm I also have a Geo Pistol that is 247-548 (with powerup), I have an ADK on it so I can use it for grinding, I do PvP sometimes, and still get my arse woopoed bigtime, you see Just because I have a geo pistol with an ADK on it does not mean i will be unstopable, it only means that I can PvP for fun now, meaning because I do not have to worry about my weapon decaying I can go off into 10 rebels by my self just for fun

just last night I got my asre wooped by 7 Krayte ancients but it was cool cause I did not have to worry about my pistol, sure my armor was dead but that only cost 250k my pistol on the other hand cost 1.5 mill

Hmm. I am not even sure where to start....

I am a "casual" veteran player, since the first week the game went live.I have NEVER accumulated more than 1 million credits. The only time Igot close was as a chef...which I was playing NOT for the enjoyment of it, but to hologrind.(As soon as I made Master and made a dozen or so factory run schematics I dropped the profession to do the fun stuff.) I have a lot of stuff (thank you Dev's for increasing house item limits) but very little cash. I now am a Master Shipwright, whichgrind almost broke mefor good, and of course thesweet spot of the market has long since past me by. Being a casual player means that I have invested as much of my hard earned RL cash into this game, though obviously not as much time, as most of you. It also means that I have spent a load of IG credits keeping equipped. ANYTHING which reduces the overall cost of playing the game means I can spend more time doing fun stuff and less time worrying about how to pay for my harvesters.

I still have my ADK. I am glad that I have it, although I have nothing uber on which to putit ATM. Icertainly would have sold it to finance my grind through SW, if I hadn't already practically been finished when I got it. If I decide to take up another profession which requires resources to grind through, I would sell it to avoid the dreadfully slow pace ofgrinding only what your harvesters can make...

I do not agree that ADK is a game breaker. Anyone with the mega millions to buy one or a full set of them is ALREADY a game breaker. So if you spread the wealth a bit, you are merelyequalizing the playing field, and allowing us casual vets the chance to keep up with the rich noobs.I can certainly see why the rich noobs might complaining aboutthat!

I do agree and disagree with the point of the ADK, they made it so this was the 360 day vet reward not 90 day, not 180, not 270 but 360 days my friend. That equates to 1 full year of the most dedicated people and to boot you may only get it on 1 server for 1 toon thus there aren't too many of these floating around. Atleast on my server anyways i'm betting there are about 90 or less antidecay kits /shrug. Anyways however I see where it is bad because us WS will now be put down like rabid dogs clamering for money because the kits will allow people that have obtained that ubber rare weapon to keep on using it thus negating a reason for them to buy more. However the CURB will probably change that when new weaponry comes the WS way. We will make shiny new trinkets for all the little boys and girls to use and probably anti decay.

Thanks for illuminating my point. Here is a prime example of why these are game breaking. In your above post not only will everyone eventually be millionaires, but also have a stockpile of totally immortal weaponry. If everyone on your server were a millionaire could you imagine what the economy in-game will be like? that alone will be worse than the credit duping.

What if everyone who did have an exceptional weapon could use it without fear of losing it to decay...who could regulate those players and keep them from dominating every engagement they fought in? no one. New players wouldn't have a chance of competing, old players would get tired of never being challenged in anything, wether it be finance management or combat.....Servers shut down... next game please

Your scenario could not happen. Each ACCOUNT is only allowed ONE ADK. That one takes 180 days to get. Even if you created a character, waited 180 days, got the ADK, deleted the character and then created a new one, you STILL would not get a second ADK in 180 days because your account already got a 180 day reward. For this reason, it would be IMPOSSIBLE for "everyone to have a stockpile of immortal weapons", because if everyone on the server had an ADK, each person would still only have one. If ADKs were a loot item and it were possible to accumulate an endless supply of them, then yes, your scenario MIGHT be possible, but it would still be highly unlikely.

As for me, I found the free power deed to be far more useful than the ADK.

This is exactly what is happening, except that only super rich players are doing the stockpiling.

But furthermore, as can be seen in all the posts above. The ADK may not be as game breaking as I feared, time will tell I suppose.

I am a very poor weaponsmith LOL I want to clear this up, it surprised me because yes I am a WS. But I only made my smith as a supplement to me and my guilds weapon needs (seems hard to find really good ones when you want one) and really have not turned a profit yet, even after 180 days with that account, that is not it's intention.I wasn't even thinking along these lines to be honest.
