Ive searched here AND on the net cant find any info on it. It dropped off of a random NPC humanoid.Its a container, exam = "This is a portable workstation used for repairing broken datadisks." Has anyone looted any "Broken Datadisks"?

i've looted several of the repair kits, and a few magnetic burners/readers and recovery software. tried putting those into the repair kit... and it appears to destroy them. oh well.

requires paint cartridge, paint dispersal unit, and blank canvas.

again, i tried putting a broken viewscreen into it... and its dissappeared without a trace

when will we figure this out?

OK, I too placed the currupt disk, a magnetic reader, a magnetic burner, and revovery software into the datadisk repair kit. Yes it did eat them all BUT i noticed I couldnt put in an item once it had gone into the same datadisk recovery kit ...much like the original loot kits. I also noticed that it holds 5 items. So, we have: The Datadisk repair kit ( the auto loom so to speak ), the Five items that go into it are Corrupt data disk, Magnetic reader, Magnetic burner, and Recovery software. Thats 4 ...what are we missing to complete the kit? Anyone seen anything that looks like it would belong in the kit? I treid a broken hand held data disk...it didnt work.

No idea. But i'm starting to think things only drop in certain places, or from certain peoples. Eg, another post lists the componants for the Picture Printer Kit being Picked up on Tatooene.

The sheer volume of repeat loot is convincing me that certain things come from other places only, so we have to travel the worlds to complete our kits.
