Thread: Jukebox Petition!! DEVS PLEASE!

The day a dancer is willing to come and entertain in my house for 8 hours at a time for 25k is the day that I can defeat Darth Vader in a duel with a cocktail fork.
And this is exactly why the musician community is worried. Why botherpaying a live band a decent wage for playing an event when you can have *8 hours* of superior-sounding music, with more variety, for only 25k?
Bots and AFK mules have already taken the healing/buff market away from live entertainers - after all, why tip someone at the keyboard when you can just listen to the bot for free? Now even the performance aspect of the musician profession has been given to a machine. What's left? A few fancy lighting effects - hardly enough content to justify the expenditure of 106 or more valuable skillpoints.

No offense to good entertainers, but it was ATK entertainers that killed it for our guild. Most we have met were very nasty, demanding and egotistical. Most.....I'm sure there are good entertainers out there, but aside from my wife we haven't used any entertainers for about 6 months. Too nasty of a bunch for my taste. Even the forums are militant.
I say give us anything that allows us to depend on entertainers even less. I would rather see the profession bite the dust......after all, entertainers are not here to serve players, are they.

I agree with this one. I absolutely love the jukebox! However, I do think the devs will continue making it a timed item simply to encourage player events.. which I'm not opposed to either. I love player events!

All of the other decorations are eight-hours. The jukebox I doubt would affect any event much if it was permanent or not.
