Thread: Guide for Skill Enhancing Attachment (SEA) use (CU facts, still testing) scroll down for discussion
Comments to dispell some myths:
(1) The cap is, and always has been +25 on clothes and/or armor. This includes bioclothing mods and tapes. The skill boxes will show more, but only the first +25 work.
(2) Regarding crafting expreimentation cap. Certain species have experimentation bonuses. Humans have +15 in artisan experimentation, so a human with +25 in artisan exp tapes is a 14-pt crafter (I did this to make food with my crafting guy for a short time suring the respec periods). I believe one of the new species (maybe Sullustans?) has a crafting bonus to ship experimentation, which may make a +15 SW possible.
(3) Regarding Doc & CM tapes. Augmentation efficiency only increases the duration of the buff, not the strength of it. Healing efficiency works; it makes a huge improvement for low level medicsbutis barely noticeablefor master doc or CM. The verdict is still out on what the CM tapes do.
(4) IN general, it appears that, except for crafting, all mods are on a non-linear/exponential scale. That means that +25 to a mod you have a lot of skill (>100) will have barely any effect, whereas a low level person (who probably cant afford tapes, lol) would see a huge impact.

Testing Results Showing the Defense vs Stun DOES NOT work...
I decided to run some tests with some guildmates. What I did was duel a friend and have him shoot me with Confusion Shot as often as he could. I then counted up how many times his shots hit me, and how many of those shots inflicted a Stun state upon me. I then repeated the test with +34 Defense vs. Stun clothing equipped. Here are the results...
Test Number 1 -Defense vs. Stunclothing OFF
-Number of shots that hit: 88
-Number of shots that caused a Stun state: 43
-Percentage of hits that caused a Stun state: 48.9%
Test Number 2 - Defense vs. Stun clothing ON
-Number of shots that hit: 94
-Number of shots that caused a Stun state: 45
-Percentage of hits that caused a Stun state: 47.9%
As you can see, the rate at which the stun state stuck was almost identical in both tests. I'm confidant now in saying that Defense vs. Stun definately does not work, and I think its quite likely that testing with the other Defense vs. skills would give the same results. You should change your initial post to reflect his Cootie, so as to not confuse players needlessly.
This is very nice data. One question is if the person being stun had any other defenses to stun, or was his base zero?
I would like to know:
The 4 mods limit in clothes is only for SEA mods or also the BE mods are counted forthat limit? If a Tailor makes a clothe with 4 BE mods and 4 free sockets, would be possible to have 8 different skill mods there?
1) Terrain Negotiation works. I have no scout and have noticed a dramatic improvement.
2) Unarmed Damage appears to be working, I will test this again to get hard data but a dramatic improvement was seen with a TKM.
i don't see Tracking droid speed mentioned there...
anyone know if this works?
