I don't mind getting outdamaged by a better player, but AFK stuff is pretty lame. Nothing like seeing the Hammer brothers sitting and AFK killing all the NPC's and Nyax.

How about after you kill Nyax...you get kicked outside of the bunker (kind of like DWB) and you are not allowed back in for xx amount of minutes? That would at least get rid of the AFK'ers...

The joking approach:

If that don't work...we could always do the little red ticket machine (like the one in Jewel) that gives you tickets with numbers. We slap in one of those c3po guys in front of the bunker and they let you in one at the time in order of the ticket numbers. Now letting in number 99...99?? are you here 99?? NEXT!!!!

I bet those tickets would sell for millions on the auctions...hehehe.

What's your professions anyways? Might be best to work along those line to help you. With your people skills the team of trusted associates doesn’t appear to be an option.

I figured out a long time ago places like Nyax are a competition and that appears to be the Devs view point as well. Not gated by a tough mob but by other people.

Sometimes I win loot rights sometimes I lose. Sometimes the person with the exceptional t21 is there and I have to group with a lot of people and share. But when I lose I don’t start calling people “jerks,” “greedy,” and “lame.” I don’t try and kill them by training mobs on them. I don’t threaten to tell a CSR on them. And I don’t come to the forums and say make them go away so I can get it with out putting in the same effort as the other person or sharing with the huge group I had to create to get loot rights.

I try and put together a group that can beat the current campers off or I say “Good game,” and politely leave.

And sometimes if I’m at a place like Nyax by myself and some one that has no chance of out damaging me comes a long I give them a crack at it. A lot of time they die trying but I sure don’t share with people that come down and start spouting off a lot of KS greedy camping nonsense.

Really they need to take this type of loot off of things that are somewhat easy to kill and keep them on Elders and the like. Some people just can’t gracefully lose to other people.

Instead of instancing just put him on a random once a day spawn timer.

Just /report them, then 10 mins later, /report them again, its in the terms, NO AFK PLAY. if they are abusing macro's a CSR will eventually come remove them. Personally i prefer the drag in a ton of crap method that leaves them dead for 6 or 7 hours till they check their toons progress

There are two easy solutions to this problem that does not require much developement work:


a) Nerf the loot down to a level which is more accurate to his (lack of) strength

b) Make Nyax stronger maybe about the same strength as an elder


Both would make AFK looters go away, well at least b). Some might still AFK loot him if he drops +5 attachments. I would recommend making him a lot stronger


It is a bit strange that most in this thread (or other threads) suggest instancing or doing something about AFK:er. With other words you want an easy to kill NPC that drops good stuff.

More krayts = best dam change they coulda done, lowers pearl prices, and all the loot stealers can only run to each krayt so fast as they watch there market dwindle away before there eyes as they cant possibly claim every krayt there no matter how "uber" they are.


Also this brings more people to the hunt in guilds, atleast mine anyways they enjoy the fact they arent gonna waste 12k in buffs + and 2 or 3 hours looking.
