Loot rights are given to the individual who has dealt the highest total amount of damage to the MOB. If that individual is in a group, loot rights are given to the group.

I believe you are correct, but there are players that can outdamage most uber players easy...and they are called jedi. We use a jedi group to bust AFK looters. Worked on two occasions, with lots of hate tells and real world threats that followed. It was great.

I dont think these guys are talking about the one-up players. I would bow to any player that overdamages me. I think the problem is the AFK spawnbots that are doing so simply for profit. They sell the attachments they get for rediculous prices on the auction forum or to commercial companies, much like credits are sold for sale on Ebay. This couldn't possibly be what was intended.


The worst is a player that uses a third party program that logs him in a specific time to grab loot.


Now, i am not against the occasional AFK spawnbot. I am not even against it on a regular basis, but I am against a monopoly. I believe that those players that are taking all the loot need to give a chance to others every once in a while, or suffer the consequences of their greed, ie griefing and tagging.


I feel that you reap what you sew. The greedy will always slay their own kind.

Just put a timer on the cave. Push a player out after a set amount of time. That prevents squatting and camp-logging.

The reason it isn't an option is that Nyax is an uber camping point for a SINGLE looter. Its not worth a teams time to be frank. The solution is not to give into the AFK loot whor3s, the s olution is to make the content available to ANYONE. Instancing is the very best solution as well as adding code that instantly removes buffs from anyone who goes afk. If you do both things you fix so very many things in this game.

Solution:

1) Change the spawn times back

2) Lower the drop rate (mainly on Nyax, Elders drop rate is too low as is)

3) Keep the static POIs with delayed spawn times

4) Allow an instanced POI quest to take place though use of Vette-like ticket missions

5) Up the content/difficulty/loot on the lesser-used POIs


The problem has become that PvP isn't a war between factions, it's a loot-camp war, but still ends up deciding the fate of the galaxy. And the real issue I have is, not everyone has access to this content. If you go down to Nyax as a MBH, or a master pistoleer- because that is your chosen/favorite profession, you should have the same chance to loot something as everyone else, because you can defeat the MOB that drops it. You should not have to template towards the FOTM, or group and share 1 lousy drop with 10 other playersjust to try to out-damage the eBay supported loot-campers that want to monopolize the loot for themselves IMHO. Most people get turned off to this game because of lack of content, and lack of access to the content that is here. If you work, you shouldn't have to wake up extra early or stay up extra late just to have a slim chance at maybe getting some decent loot that you don't have to break your bank to get. Sorry, if you want competition with your fellow players- join a faction, get buffed, go overt and shuttle hop for awhile, I'm sure you'll find all the competition you want, don't sit there and loot-camp with your uber PH/T21 and call it competition.

So, I say, distibute the loot more evenly across the POIs, add more 'boss' spawns like Nyax with decent (don't have to be uber) drops, lower Nyaxs' loot table and allow both static content (with the old spawn rate) as well as instanced content for those that want to fight him for enjoyment and a chance at loot, not just to increase their eBay account standing. And/or I don't think it would hurt to spread out drops and up the difficulty on some of the other caves, after all when's the last time someone wanted to go on a Drall Patriot cave or Afarathu (sp-see what I mean?) cave run? They're just wasted content right now, no loot drops, not enough difficulty/XP= no desire to go there, add a 50-100k HAM boss creature with a chance at decent loot and watch people come back to em.

Just to add, increasing the NS loot tables just a hair would be a nice addition too, it's a slap in the face to the true hunters that go out and manage to find, then kill these things either group or solo and get messes of leather, clasps and garbage for hours on endwhile some tool with the time and an uber T21 can camp Nyax for hours and be guaranteed 10s' of millions in profit.

This isn't about competition. It's about the weak willed wanting to make themselves feel better through the delusion of competition. They want to "compete" to prove they are not what they truly are, which is weak.

right on im with u all the way and id just like to add that its a bit retarded that a bunch 14 year old boys with no life and no chance of ever getting laid can sit at there pc 24/7 cuz mommy and daddy pay for it all run around acting like there the greatest thing alive and the real men who like to play a bit to have fun but also have jobs cars appartment houses morgages wives girlfriends and oh yeah LIVES are left to suffer because we cant devote 90+ hours a week to a freaking GAME

Umm ... high end AA's and CA's are supposed to be rare.


Intead if "instancing" it so 1000 are looted every day (sorry noobs, not gonna happen), just make it so the dude doesn't always spawn in the exact same place (duh)


The problem isn't people who AFK camp or AFK'ing in itself(for high end loot), the problem is they are given a golden egg reason to do so.


Lord Nyax should spawn at a random place at the POI just like all the other Nyax do.
