I heard that in order to get an imperial banner, you have to go to bestine and vote for the right canidate in an election which only comes around every six months. I was wondering if this was a valid statement, and also if anyone has one which the will be interested in selling

True statement.
However its bugged, you can vote for him every time in the election, but if he wins the first time you have a chance for an item, including the banner... If he wins the second, you don't get anything. He says you already have an item... so I believe its bugged.
Thats the only way I know of to get one, unfortunately.

From Victor (the banner guy) - either the banner, an Imperial medallion, or nuffin'.
From Sean (the other guy) - a rug, or a statue. And if he wins, you can take a really easy mission for a poster.

anyone else find it funny that to get a banner representing a dictatorship, involves a democratic process?

Victor is the candidate you vote for, to get a banner. Its a random chance between the banner and a necklace. The necklace is exactly like the large necklace that any novice tailor can make, so its completely worthless. The voting process lasts for 3 weeks, after which you can talk to the guy and get your gift. Keep in mind that he only rewards you for voting for him if he wins the election, if he loses, you get nothing.Once the guy wins, he will be in office for 3 more weeks, and then the voiting process will restart.Im pretty sure if you vote for the same guy twice in a row, he wont reward you the second time, you have to vote for the other guy and get his reward, then you can get another reward from victor in the next election.

Vote for Victor in Bestine and you have a chance to get one. I'm not sure if the Vader/Luke quests are still running but you can get 2 from there.

dont believe the vader / luke quest gives u any banners. u got imp banners for doing the missions for Empire Day. the elections u only have about a 1 in 10 chance of getting a banner if the one guy wins. ur almost better off doing a vendor search and seeing if anyone has one listed for sale.

Got the one from voting for Victor in the Bestine capital, also got both banners from the empire day quest. Other than that I don't know.
