I believe accusing this guy of exploiting is pretty harsh. Obviously, it happened. Now, he's just trying to figure out how and asked the community for help. It is an interesting bug and deserves some exploration. I don't believe he is using an exploit, at least knowingly.

This is not an exploit. If this is an exploit then tell SOE to remove this guide from the SWG page and let me write a new one
.
You guys saying this have obviously never read the "Advanced guide" on the SWG home page.
http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/content.jsp?page=Advanced%20Guide%20Skill%20Mods
Notice below the first shirt its says: "These values can be further increased by adding additional Skill Tapes, or a player may choose to add skill tapes to the existing sockets for different types of Skill Mods."
Now in my experience this has never been correct and this guide has been completely wrong since they first put it down as a Friday Feature. You should have seen it before they changed it, basically the entire guide was completely wrong.

Dude, that's referring to your BASE TEMPLATE mods, meaning they can be enhanced by adding SEA's to clothes armor. It does NOT say that ca and aa mods will stack on top of each other IN THE SAME PIECE OF CLOTHING OR ARMOR. Get a clue.
He's either exploiting a server boundary or it's a hoax.

Ummm.....no it's not referring to your base template mods. You obviously cant read. The old guide even stated more clearly that we are SUPPOSED to be able to stack the same mod from different skilltapes or armor attachemnts on the same socketed item. Go read it again and again and again. Get yourself a clue on how to read and then go read it again. It is in fact referring to that BE shirt and says "Just above where an item's number of available sockets is listed is the total Skill Mods the item of clothing or armor gives a player while wearing the item. In the clothing item above, the current Skill Mods the shirt gives is a Melee Defense of 4 and a Defense Vs. Stun of 17. These values can be further increased by adding additional Skill Tapes, or a player may choose to add skill tapes to the existing sockets for different types of Skill Mods." These values is referring to Melee Defense 4 and Defense vs. Stun 17. The clothing item above is referring to the picture of the shirt with the BE skill mods. Welcome to 8th grade english
