In my opinion the way to sort these things would be to give out a random WP for the Quest Boss. That way people wouldnt be able to camp the spawns and you would not have to wait 4 hours to be able to finish a quest.
Waiting around doing nothing is boring.
Either that or make the quest boss spawn as a white target for anyone but the quest holder. Might kill immersion a bit with 10 similar NPCs at the same spot, but so does 20 afk loot campers so ...
There are 3 solutions used in Mustafar quests that would solve, or at least reduce the camping.
1. Roaming spawns...similar to Xos's wandering but increase the spawning area.
2. White mob the quester needs to converse with to turn them red. This is in the quest where you go to the alter and talk to the jedi lady npc theif and kill her.
3. NON-TRADABLE LOOT. Its on many Mustafaritems already. Best fix, IMO. Make those cloaks non-tradeable and 90% of the campers go poof. No more "i'm gathering for my guild."No more auctions in trade forums of 5 cloaks less than a week after pre-orders get in. Just those who are on the quest or want the robe for personal use. And if anything on Mustafar should be non-tradeable it should be jedi robes/cloaks.

a) camping is bad no matter how you look at it. The bottom line is that camping prevents non-campers from partaking in content at their leisure. There is no difference between ATK and AFK other than the spatial spam.
b) when youre not solo, but instead in a non-full group of guildmates when you show up, do you then disband and beg for a new group, hoping one of you complete the quest?
c) they will not leave soon. were you around when people were camping the borgle caves for over a year? one will leave and another will take his place
d) i happen to be a jedi and even though I need to finish the quest, I would also like to have the cloak. it feels cheap and lame when I have to buy the cloak from one of the campers that prevented me from doing the quest in the first place.
e) SOE has learned nothing.
lol either you didnt take the time to read, or you just pride yourself in your ability to jump to conclusions.
did I ever way "boohoo I cant get this cloak"? could I possibly already have a cloak of my own, and I just find camping such a limited spawn in poor taste? hmm you dont really know these things but to make your point you went ahead and warped what you read into whatever you needed to fuel your pitiful little flame.
to make it easy on you I will sum up my point:
The original poster is naive to think that the camping problem will get better over time, and he is just as wrong to think that there is a difference between ATK and AFK. His solo method of begging for a group spot may have worked for him, but SWG is a group game now and his tactics aren't far-reaching enough to warrant waxing some sort of insight on how everyone should play the game
understand it this time?
