Thread: Solution to AFK Campers???

I have no love for AFK camping, never have. It has gotten in the way of my searching several times to show up somewhere looking for loot only to find an AFK'er there farming, it is frustrating, but its there choice to play like that. The "its their money" statement is actually a very valid one. They pay the same $15 a month that the rest of us do, if they want to pay $15 to be AFK, then that is their decision and further more it is their Right. Nothing is said anywhere in the terms of service about AFK camping being a violation of the game. Until the Devs or the Producers change it, the AFK'ers are breaking no rules, and have every right to be out there. One the up side, would'nt youmuch rather pay a AFK camper some credits for whatyou need than spend half a day (time some of usdont have) hunting for the item? Imagine how much more your gonna pay for the same item, if you buy it from someone who was actually having to be ATK the whole time. They actually worked to get the item, so they are surely gonna charge more than the guy who had in running automated while hes at work. It would be like buying a car from a factory, while the other guy gets the exact same car, but its hand made. The hand made car is gonna be mega-more expensive than the one built at the automated plant, for the exact same item. How about just make those zones instanced? Or make them so you can only be inside there for a certain amount of time and it kicks you out (for dungeons). For the record, Im not advocating AFK camping, justing stating that it is not against the terms of service, and so it is their right to camp if they want too. If the devs posted a News thread on the main page about how camping was now considered an exploit, im sure that would cut way down on it too, bottom line is, I dont think the Devs really care if they AFK camp, as long as they get the $15 dollars.

Every time I post a thread it turns into an entire paragraph... I must need to get a life, anyone know a place where I can buyone for a decent price ? Ebay maybe...

NGE is not for me.

I really hope I dont fall into this catagory... I like to go out into the middle of the dune sea on tat and survey for minerals and crafting materials and then I open my little scout camp, hit collect resource and then I leave for about 15 min. to take the dog out, sweep the pool do a few chores, come back, take out any critters that may have spawned close and then look for the next item i need. I dont want afk to go completly away but I've also never left my house or such and let Trasken just kneeling there. Granted I'm also just a month old noob at only lvl 13... I understand the stand of this mb but I think that the real meaning behind AFK is a godsend some times.. esp, when the wife calls me for some ting and I can hit one of my "play starwars 2" macro in my own camp just for some music exp that I prob wont use...

My brontosaurus has escaped, no one go out on the street untill I recapture it.
