from the decription in that screenie you can also remove an item from the kit later if you want without having to destroy anything

anyone tried it out yet?

i did and i cant

i droped my best t-21 (by no means "uber" unfourtunatly) into the "deed" thing and "used" it and the "deed" disapeared and my weapon now has a note near the stats saying "this item wont decay"

I cant figure out how to get it back though. i SAID on it, to use the radial and u can get the kit back, but i dont see an option.

Anyone??

That is to get an item out of the anti-decay device before you convert it. Say you had more than one T-21 in your inventory and dropped the wrong one in and realized your mistake before you converted it you could use the redial on the anti-decay kit to get that item out and put the correct T-21 in.

As to the whole destry the item to get the kit back, I have no friends that have tried this nor have I read a Dev saying that but I am far from reading all the post atm.

Edit:

This is direct from a Dev on the Jedi forum:

So the crystals/pearls can be removed...

New replacements will be protected from decay as long as they are in the origional saber shell - or the anti-decay moves with the pearls?

Yes. Anything in the lightsaber should be immune to decay.

I still dont get this!

Say if you "insured" a saber (with no crystals inside). Then put 5 crystals inside the saber. Whould those crystals not decay then, because the saber wont decay?

Or will you have to "insure" the saber, with crystals inside ?

Can you replace the crystals inside a "insured" saber - without the new crystals will decay?

I'm pretty sure it means this:

  • Application of Anti-decay kits to sabers protect the saber and its contents from decay.
  • The protection is on the saber container. This protections extends to the contents of the container, but those contents can be swapped as you please.
  • Swap crystals in and out as often as you wish ... which ever ones are in the protected saber container are also protected.

Correct.

Also, you can delete the lightsaber and use the anti-decay kit on a new lightsaber as many times as you want. This is true for any item that can be used with an anti-decay kit. So basically, you aren't screwed if you use the anti-decay kit on one item and then two days later get something much cooler that you'd rather use it on. You do have to make the decision to delete the item currently attached to anti-decay kit before using the kit on the new item though.

As far as I know they don't work on sabers cause they are containers and don't decay. Also crystals and pearls can't be used with this anti decay item unless someone has some proof it does work.

Two obvious things come to mind. First, a PSG seems like the ideal option for one of these, is it intended that the decay kit would create a neverending PSG?

That's what I did. I have a PSG that was sliced to 52% effectiveness. Gave the kita try too on a crap PSG, had some mauler's attack me with a varitey of blasters, the PSG absorbed some hits and didn't lose any condition. So now I will have 52% stun protection (plus a couple others)forever with no HAM costs.

Theoretically you can get 9 Anti-decay kits, and put it on a full suit of 90% composite. At least I hope so.

Good luck getting 9

On Scylla the rich shell out 7-10M for these, getting 10-15 only takes the creds... this is why I will not be PvPing anytime soon

I'm curious too about the power ups.

Does kitting a weapon while powered up keep it powered up? Or no? And is it safe to throw power ups into the weapon contiously after its been kitted?

I agree the more I read about the kits the worse they sound far to unballanced, vet rewards should be furniture and the figuers, things that make peolpe say they nust have been playing for a while, not items so strong that no one else can compet with them. I hear a lot of people say that any one who has one of these top grade T-21 will use it as there default wepon now where as befor it was onlt brought out when it was really called for. Please some one show me the light at the end of the tunnel , may be they have worked it into the CU but we will not know for a while.

Personaly I really want to collest the figures but can I justifie giving up such a powerfull tool....

did you manage to get the crappy psg out of the kit succesfully and then re-use the kit on the good psg?

Yes I got it out. I read in these forums that destroying the item gives back the kit, and sure enough it does. So all it cost me was the crappy PSG, then I put it in the PSG I wanted it in.
