Thread: Black Sun Armor
wow!!!...amazing the market is so low for the old stuff then.
considering the armor stats are pretty terrible...I still think it is fun to show up in the MOP with a full suit ![]()
what about low level Black Sun initiate and Black Sun Smugglers?
Are those the ones on Talus or something?
If so, I think they're part of a quest and have a different loot table = meaning no BH armor.

Although not entirely wrong I have to take some issues with the posts above (not Jaxy's).
Black Sun mobs on Yavin IV and Dathomir range from level 84 - 88. They have a chance of dropping Bounty Hunter Armour. The Bounty Hunter Armour they drop can be used to craft Mandolorian Armour from the DWB.
Bounty Hunter Armour looted pre CU now shows as being "crafted Bounty Hunter Armour". This can be "converted" into non wearable Bounty Hunter Armour by calling up the radial menu on the item and selecting the conversion option. Once you do this the Bounty Hunter Armour can be used to make Mandolorian Armour.
However the way Mandolorian is made now has changed. You still use all the bits and pieces as before except now you received a Schematic for making Mandolorian and then have to use a piece of BH in the crafting process. I believe there is currently a "bug" (no supprise really) and you can use any BH pieces OR schematics (never seen head nor tail of these schems nor know anyone that has). More information can be found on the Armour Smith forum although as the DWB is super hard now the info is still sparse.
To go back to hunting Black Suns now I suggest you take a couple of mates along with you. A party of 1 tank and 1 dmg dealer should be enough but 3 is a good number for looting purposes and general chat etc. The most difficult part of hunting them post CU is that they despawn very fast. You can have one down to a couple of hundred hit points and it can still go "poof" on you and vanish. If I had a choice I would take 2 Riflemen and TKM whenever I was fighting them. Although I gues thats redundant tactics these days since everyone their grandmother and their grandmothers dog has a Jedi character. In which case take one Defender and a Rifleman.
