i would like to see the loot get fixed... so lots of NPCs drops decent loot and not only BH marks... i loved to get loot.. its a big part in my swg gaming, so its abit importen for me, collecting diffrent kind of loo was great, drops and quests, mostely drops, i see the loot getting fixed first, so elders, krayts and stuff drops nice loot, also normal NS, i miss that alot, aakuan dont drop aakuan rings, BH marks does

hehe,,good stuff. Attachments and pearls obviously the biggest concerns for loot. I agree,,the rest of us that dont have a BH should be able to loot some attachments. I would like pearls to be fixed but im honestly not sure if i want it to be like pre-Cu....the more i think about it id rather not have prems flood the market. Talked to a guy in-game that tuned a good pearl to 110mx -8..didnt know that was possible with good pearls.


They could very easily make prems drop off Grand Krayts or something that will spawn alot less than giants or canyons. If they spawn less then i think it would solve this flooding the market problem.


Still not sure on the whole pearl situation.

Just saw the post on the geo cave,,,ya agents and red cubes can be worth something if they are very good...virtually everything else is crap. Acklay bones (which seems should be the best loot since its from the acklay) really cant be used by a WS unless they are uber. This is because the SAC will just be too high to be worth using. Ive been told that 120mx would be worth using in a weapon.

Dude... that loot revamp has already "happened." It was Publish 11.3 in November of 2004. Reading through that in concept thing, I realize that only a quarter of the things they said would be implemented ever came through-the syringe things for temporarily increasing stats is the only thing that I know came through (along with the huge amount of posters).

However, this caught my attention...

Level Appropriate Loot: Basically, loot should be relative to the level of the NPC so that the reward makes sense. For instance, killing an NPC named Razor whose title is Dark Lord of the Universe should not result in a loot item that is a CDEF pistol. Killing a thug who's barely strong enough to hold the rifle he's carrying should not result in a phat loot item that is as good as a top-of-the-line T-21 rifle.

That is BS in the highest sense of the word. What is a Jar of Foraged Bugs doing on a lvl 82 Double elite mark? What is a Delicate Trigger Assembly doing on a Krayt Dragon? What is Heavy Duty Leather doing on a Dark Jedi Master?

The loot dropped by NPC's is currently a sore spot for most players. Ninety-nine out of a hundred NPC's don't drop anything, and when they do it's almost never useful. In addition to removing the useless loot items, the percentage chance that an NPC will be carrying something, anything, should be markedly increased.

/agreed The loot has always sucked in this game.



Occasionally they'll up the loot but then they turn right around and nerf it within a few weeks of upping the drop rates. It's just terrible. and now the MBH NPC missions have also been nerfed slightly, while buggy missions have increased a great deal which effectively equals another part of the PVE game not worth messing with.

i just prey that if they do fix the loots, its in a way so it aint farmable, there was nothin worse than goin the geo caves and seein someone sittin there with an uber hammer or looted Dxr6 rifle...Cough...Bryce...lol jk, same at nyax.


Every good loot place that there has eva been has been camped to death so taht those who aint got the hottest weapons get screwed. You can farm krayts all day long now solo, same as b4...This shouldnt happen, can u imagine if they always dropped prems, or even one in five, the ammount of prems that would be on your server. If they bring em back, they need to be on a random loot drop so that one drops like every 700 krayts, ranging from canyons to ancients, otherwise it will just be a joke.


Wen a mark say 'looks like instadeath' it should mean it, not 'looks like instadeath'..Unless u root/kd/snare and kite it with arifle. Maybe jedi should be able to solo, but atm this is restricted to defender templates.


Just my 2cents. I want loot to get better, but i want it to be a pleasent supprise, not an expectation.

I think from day one we have been asking for loot drops to get better and yet it is the same thing over and over again and getting worse, anytime one item is place in the game that is worth anything or people enjoyed trying to get, they either nerf it or take it out of the game all together.


And it is trueabout wasteful loot, I happened to one day just be running around not doing any missions just killing random spawnsand the meaningless junk I acquired could make you laugh not one item that I could even say was useful.


In order to get a item of some use you have to kill the entire population of that particular creature or npc to acquire it which I could understand if it was a ultra rare weapon or a piece of clothing or armor but that is not the case.


SWG should learn from other MMORPG's that if you do not allow items to drop from mutiple npc's or animals you cause camping of locations such as the aakuansin which theygo ahead and completely nerf them to only cause less loot then thegame has already. I dont blame it much on the campers but SWG toonly have such items as CA, AA, rings and so onthat where worth anything just drop from that one particular mob spread it around to other mobs so it does not cause camping.


I can go on but I wont .

At least there was something to compete over back then. There were some great battles over the acklay.


And Kiem,,i hear ya about the krayts but if you have been in-game then you know that the CU had a huge equalizing effect to the game. Its not like pre-cu when a rifle or sword could do 5 or more times the damage than another master proffession. The biggest group (with most numbers) will likely win post-cu.


My opinion on camping is that its caused by spawns that are on timers. Make random spawn timesif you dont want camping.
