no wonder the price of pearls and crystals are going up, what do i see in this thread but 3 mill is a great price etc etc lol
3 mill is not a great price for something that drops as loot of a mob that you can get yourself for free, but each to their own lol

There was a lot of christmas jedis from the holocron thing that made the price skyrocket. Pearls where going for 10million easily at that time. On my server I see people selling for 3 to 5 million now days.

This is quite the noobish question. Do you get this when you kill a krayt? I also heard there ain't so many krayts left? And I might need a ranger?

Yes, krayt pearls are sometimes dropped from krayt dragons when you kill them and loot them. They are most often found in the krayt graveyard (it's a POI) on Tatooine and a ranger can help you track them and find them once you are there.
You will need more than just a ranger though, as you will most likely not survive if you try to kill it by yourself.

Yeah I know this is sort of an ignorant question but here goes. I attempted only once to fight a krayt and the pop up of the cloning screen was so quick I have never been back to the canyon. Wondering now how far along in my jedi training (if ever) i need to be before I can feel competant enough to fight a krayt.

How far are you now? If you're a doc or have a doc helping you, it doesn't take too much because you can take em out so quickly with the saber vuln.

It depends on your skill set and the type of krayt you're fighting. You'll need a lot of melee defense and mitigation. The levels of krayt from easiest to most difficult are:
juvenile canyon krayt dragon
canyon krayt dragon
giant canyon krayt dragon
ancient canyon krayt dragon
Fighting the last two alone means death for pretty much every profession. Some can actually hold their own solo against a giant with enough buffs, armor and mitigation, but the ancients are ... just not soloable. Unless there's an exploit they haven't plugged yet.

Rev, it is nice of you to do this, however, unless they are premium pearls, they really aren't worth that much. Just my opinion, but if someone is selling a pearl for 3 Million and I don't know what the rating is I'm not going to take the risk of getting a really crappy pearl when I'll just go Nightsister hunting for a crystal that I will know the rating of.

Not at the moment, the drops are bugged i belive.. i think you can only loot Good and Fair.

has there been any official word about the lack of premiums dropping. I assume they just stopped them b/c they feel there are too many out there but wondering if anyone knows anything more

Ok publish 17 says "increased Krayt Dragon difficulty". So....since they are impossible to solo at a steady rate already...and dont drop pearls at all, well not the last 40 or so ive killed..not one pearl....
Can we get a request on another way to get damage pearls? Has anyone went NS hunting lately? I have heard they dont drop crystals much either. Pearls are no longer an option it seems...or have I just had horrible luck getting them?
