Thread: What Drops Holocrons?

I'm thinking perhaps they are common drops off easy mobs that can't be duplicated, sold or traded.

Hand to hand perhaps? Crystals are different than holocrons though. A crystal does not necessarily help you attain your fs slot, whereas a holocron does.

Dark Jedi Knight is what I got mine off of it looked different from the quest one from the beginning. I don't know if it's constant or random but after running all over dantooine I only found 1 and it was a way's away from the jedi temple by itself.

I go away for one day, and the world is turned on it's head!!!
I have never seen a holocron drop off of any mob. My brother is crazy for Dark Jedi hunting, and the only good loot he has ever seenwere some +25 mods.
I found twothoughts on this thread particularlyinteresting:
- We will soon know FOR CERTAIN whether non-combat classes were ever meant to get the FSCS. There was a lot of debate in the past, and it always degenerated into name calling and hurt feelings. So, there are still two camps on this issue that won't talk about it anymore. It the Holocrons only drop off of high level mobs, then ...
- I really, really hope that the holocrons do not give cryptographic puzzles, like the CoA act 1.I don't think this will be the case, because the devs don't want like 50k people becoming Jedi Padawan overnight...
- I hope that the Holocrons will give individuals clues about what they are lacking, somewhat similar to a surveying tool. This would also explain how a low level Jedi could make a lightsaber without having to kill high level MOBs...
Anyway, this is a very interesting development!

Anyway, this is a very interesting development!
50k people will not become padawan overnight even if 50k people found the holocrons, it is not like finding a Holocron magically unlocks your FS slot, it only points you in the right direction

I tried searching this, and got a TON of really old posts, what is dropping holocrons these days? I have hunted everything I can think of that used to, and found none. I really want to get some for a decorating project, thanks in advance all.

Clear the weapon depot poi on Naboo and the stronghold poi on Corellia and you should find a couple

Rebel Surface Marshalls still drop holocrons, I'm not sure if Darktroopers still do.
