I want to confirm, from my experiences, what the above poster has said it is individual damage not the group. Yes it is stupid, but ask yourself how many things you would change in swg because there actually is a better way of doing it? So Im guessing you can think of a few things and then come to the realization that this is most likely how it works.

well the devs won't do anything it is completly legal to camp and loot the spawns even if you are afk

You sure about this? How do you know it's the highest damager vs. highest damager and not the group vs. the individual? I mean this blows a hole in every argument I've seen on how to deal with AFK POI campers.

i'm pretty sure that is how it works, thats why the whole "get a group" argument is bogus, a single rifleman with a 900+ weapon is unbeatable by any group unless there is an equally good or better weapon in the group.


that is how one person can kill steal a krayt from a group and how 1 person can rule the roost with nyax on ahazi.

Wow, I want to retract my above post. Today I was in nyax and a guy who always outdamages me comes in, we both are rifleman. SO I group with another rifleman and swordsman who show up and we agree we will split the loot since alone we cant outdamage this guy and he doesnt like splitting. So nyax spawns we get loot, ok 20mins til nyax so gets kinda boring. I wrote down the combat log numbers of the 3 rifleman, didnt worry about the swordsman because I have outdamaged him in the past. Now I know the combat log numbers arent what we actually hit for but all of us get the same resist applied so it is irrelevant. The ungrouped rifleman out damaged me and the other rifleman individually but we still got the loot. Same scenario with the next 2 spawns. So hope this means that it is actually group vs. individual damage and not individual vs individual. Any of the other people out there want to test this out between nyax spawns? I know this isnt conclusive data because I could've missed a few shots in the combat log but I took the numbers 2x and they were all pretty close to each other with the same people finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Think what you want of it but after this I have changed my stance.

There is a very simple solution to this problem, and it's coming soon.


Just eliminate /ui action toolbarSlotxx as an available command.

If you still do your recursive macros this way, you are a poon. Here is how you do a real recursive macro:


Macro name: iheartrecursivemacros.


Macro:


/shout I <3 RECURSIVE MACROS!!!;/pause 5;/blame;/duel;/shout I WANT TO DUELYOU WITHDB BECAUSE YOU DON'T!!;/pause 10;/macroiheartrecursivemacros.


note: You will need to target the macro hater in order for this to work right.


Here is another example:


Name: FoolNyax


Macro:


/target lord;/emote 'El Conquistador whispers to Lord Nyax that his fly is down in a way that will not cause Lord Nyax any embarasment.;/strafeshot2;/loot;/pause 1;/strafeshot2;/loot;/pause 1;/macro foolnyax


When you want to start either macro, you simply type /macro iheartrecursivemacros or /macro foolnyax (or hotkey them). In order to get rid of recursive macros, you would need to get rid of the /macro xxx option as well.


Thing is, I have a feeling that /macro xxx is a little deeper and more fundamental in the code than /ui action bla bla bla. If the devs haven't figured out how to remove rifle crawl speed AAs from the loot tables, they are going to have a hell of a time trying to figure this one out. They would just about need to get rid of macros totaly. If you think that will stop people from using macros, wow, can i live in your world? What a happy innocent palce it must be. (I mean 3rd party macros for all of you too innocent to understand what i am getting at).


/ui action xxx has more uses than just recursive macros or helping crafters grind. You can use it for such useful macros as: /ui action toolbarSlot06 (stores your bike);/intimidate;/warcry;/melee1hlunge2;/melee1hdizzy2;/melee1hdizzy2. It allows you to store your bike and go into killing mode with one swift press of the button. You can also use it for such useful things as taking all your combat foods with one button press, clearing your combat queue and switching weapons, changing your armor or clothing to fit the situation.

I'd have to say i agree with skye on this one, chilastra has some pretty bad afk macroers... i dont midn the cantina type, but at lord nyax its terrible, ruins the POI for all of us

Well, as a dancer I can pretty much say the "cantina type" ruins the cantina for all the real entertainers. The afk'ers and supporters are pretty much doing the same thing the loot campers do, which is taking away our abilities to make credits and healing experience...just like the looters take away the combatants abilities to get loot and experience.


DarkYoda posted a clicky above. It's a good read. And, when you read it, remember it's satire and the point is afk is bad. My hope is that as more and more professions are overrun with afk bots and campers, that all the professions can come together as a community and demand that this be dealt with as soon as possible. The devs have certainly been known to change the way things work (shuttle timers, for example), if the community has a large outcry. AFK looters and bots deserve a large outcry. Let's give it to them and get this removed so that those of, entertainer, crafter, combatant, or other can enjoy this game by actually playing. Those who aren't really there and who aren't playing simply don't deserve considerations over those who want to play.
