try think before you post, honestly, it is pretty fun. Do not chose the most lamest response possible, who gives a hell what other people look like, this is called Star Wars galaxies, not Fashion Style galaxies, many people play this for the fun that was pvp, now it is dull, everyone does the same damn damage, everyone targets the same pool. There is no real point to pvp. What was once challenging isn't.
Are you serious? I don't know how they did things on Radiant, but on my server, pre-cu, they only attacked the same pool as well...mind. They usually only used one type of damage, stun (unless they had an uber t-21 or dxr). If you had a good template, good buffs, and good food, your fight would be a stalemate as well.
The CU is by no means complete, but so far it is a heckuva lot more balanced, and fun, than before.

The CU is making everyone exactly the same? No more individuals? Where were you for the past who knows how long when EVERYONE you saw was running around in the exact same comp armor, with the exception of maybe some wookies and bounty hunters? Now there's 3 types of armor, and several different kinds for each type. As for weapons, some of the weapons ive been looting in RotW are better then any crafted weapons ive been able to find.

Nah, just tired of people that don't really want to play the game whining about it.

Ok, so your gear is exactly the same. That makes you rely on your tatics. Who will win? The guy spamming his best special? Or the guy who plans out his attacks and carefully hits states and such?

You are Missing the Point.
They have taken all the individuality out of the game by Making everyone Exactly equel, after they have obtained MAX't out Gear.
Wits you say....'Yeah Right".
"Points to the sky"...And says..."Ohhh Look theres an Eagle"....., Hope the other player Falls for it as you go to Kick him in the Codds.
There are no Wits in this game, PvP is pretty Full on once you start a fight & Only "ONLY" your equipment is going to Save or fail you"....And if by Wits you mean, Some guy challenges you, you Quickly run off to collect a gank squad... Well yeah i spose that "Could" be considered using your wits.
The way i see it, having 100's of "Identical" Maxed out characters running about, one of two things will happen.
1. SWG PvP becomes a stailmate
2. It becomes a Twitch Based Frag Fest.
The Devs & Those Monkeys who Wrote the Code for the CU Didn't have the Forsight to Keep Players Individuals & not just Exact Clones of each other.
lol.. plan. the only difference between now and pre-cu is inthe the you could set up a combat queue and now you have to wait and press buttons more often, which takes your focus away from the fight and on to your cool down timers and your opponents buff/debuff zone to see when your root and states expire. everyone is still trying to do the same thing. it's still all about who hit who first, and that becomes an unfair match up when your servers are always laggy because the coders can't figure out what's wrong to allow 40 players on the same location at once without it causing problems 4 server boundries away...
you may enjoy the CU, but trust me, had you seen what we were supposed to get you would agree that this is crap...
I spent the day yesterday doing new content, new quests, one of them on a new planet, as an Imperial officer working alongside a scout trooper, me in my full uniform, her in full armor. Me a TKM/Master Swordsman I might add, her a Master Smuggler/Master Carbineer. Along the way, we saw other troopers, a Rebel in Rebel battle armor (recall bowing and showing respect for him as a fellow hammer-wielder, though I did comment on not favoring his philosophy...), bunches of people in padded armor, some in other types of armor, some in clothing of various types, even one totally nude Twi'lek who streaked by at burstrun speeds. What didn't I see?
NOT ONE DAMN PIECE OF COMPOSITE!
I'm a TKM, I can wear my trooper suit, bone, or padded, but I do even better in clothing, why I've got a full wardrobe including an outfit with white camo pants and a belted jacket that looks just like the Rebel outfits from the movies for when I go undercover. And a hotpants number that's gotten me tips for just looking sexy. My fashion plate impulses have been set free to do what they wanna do. I've seen more individuality in dress than before, when I'd go to Cnet and the only people NOT in comp were the merchant barkers and the doc buffbots. I don't even own composite anymore, and I lived in the stuff. Hell, don't ask me to loan you any armor pieces when I'm around anymore--used to carry an extra suit in a droid, now all my armor is at home. Not to mention I felt like I was well able to contribute when Dal and I were going through the quests, was hard sometimes to keep tanking for her (the Warren was tough!), but I even helped keep her from dying once when she got incapped and I was able to draw the huurtons off of her. No diversity? Game's loaded with diversity now, if you're not seeing it, I don't think you're looking.
As for the pretty loot...hey, if you don't want it, give it to me, no shortage of buyers around

just had to reply to an earlier post and say my krayt tissue advanced laser rifle is better than any other i have seen, i'd like to know what the caps you talk about are, maybe on armour but this loot is worthwhile for weapons at least.
Was it crafted POST-CU? It's most likely converted. The top 5% of weapons pre-CU got placed in the 100-120% range of current caps, so they were not overly powerful, but still let you keep 'one of the best guns on the server.'
If not, then it may be better because it made it by the conversion filter. Otherwise there is a cap on SAC, dmg and speed on crafted weapons now.
I have a 373base dps pre-CU sliced Scatter that nobody can touch too - but it's impossible tomake one like this now. There are better guns that that out there too. I know I can power mine up to 888modified dps with my mods, but I also know nobody can make me another one like this, for now.
I can agree with the original poster somewhat. From a purely visual standpoint, SWG has a lot more variety now, but from a stat standpoint, there isn't much ability to differentiate yourself from anyone else.
They say that MMOG playerbases can be divided into four general catergories: Explorers, Socializers, Killers (PvPers), and Achievers. The last group, the Achievers, seems to be the sub-set of players that are most dismayed by all the new hard caps on crafting and uniformity amoungst items. The simplest solution would be to change as many hard caps to soft caps as possible, and then add in limited use schamatic drops for a lot of the items in ROTW. For example, they could leave the Proton Carbine as a quest reward as it is now, but they should also add a limited use schematic drop for the Proton Carbine somewhere in the loot tables. To keep things balanced, they would set it up so that a stock Proton Carbine crafted from this schematic would actually be a little bit worse than the quest reward version, however if the person who was having it crafted took the time to get some nice Krayt tissues and/or other loot enhancers, and then took the schem to a 12pt smith who had very good resourses, he would be able to put togehter a proton carbine that's slightly better than the quest reward version. This would make crafters happy, it would give Achievers the ability to actually "achieve", and it would still let the noobs and casual gamers play through ROTW content in the same way they are now.
