I just hit 450 days and I'm considering getting the ADK, but if you have to destroy your precious item to make another anti-decay, I find it crappy.

its realy not as bad as it sounds i mean the only reason you would need your adk back would be to put it on a new item and why would you want it on the new item if the new item wasnt somehow better than the old item
in my opinion we are lucky they made adk's more than a one time use

Say you had a character with a saber and 4 very nice pearls. You would want to ADK that saber. Now lets say your alt had a very nice set of sliced katarn knucklers, but you only have one ADK between the 2 accounts. See why it would be nice to get your item back?

Okay, but then you want to go play your jedi again, what do you do? Destroy your knucklers to get your adk back?

Not everyone has millions of credits laying around to buy another adk

I think the intent with the ADK was to allow you one item that will not decay. You cannot change it from item to item at your whim. Otherwise every weapon you own would effectively be indestructible as you could switch the ADK to the weapon of choice as you needed it. The effect on weaponsmiths would be much more than the current system of one weapon. If you want to ADK more than one item you will have to find someone selling theirs.

Anyway, that is how I see the implementation of ADKs, they allow you to have one item "forever" without damaging the crafter economy too much.

Yes the description of the application and retrival of the ADK is worded HORRIBLY. You would think they would proof read these things especially something so important.
