you sure about that?

the only people that do not want it back in the game are the people that want to sell rare loot for $$$$$$$.

1. Petitions don't work and the devs have stated they don't even read them.

But this Helmet shouldn't be rare! A Mandal Armor should be rare ok, but these Helmets are for Rebels what ST Armor is for Imperials!
I don't want them rare, I wouldn't sell mine for 100 Mio and I wouldn't buy one for 5 Mio! I'm ok if every Rebel has one because thats how it should be!
And put the Endor combat Poncho right besides it so we Rebels finally have some decent dress!

bah, saw some reb NPCs in theed wearing them and i was like..cool.
so now we cant getthem but Npcs can...like the NPC in mando armour minus the helmet
I saw a Reb NPC in full RIS also.
Put simply once an item becomes rare or stops being issued it shouldn’t be messed with. You could do things like add other ROTJ articles or add other night sister items, but once an item becomes rare it needs to stay rare.
At one point the most expensive item on my server was a holocron. Went for about 5 million credits. Around that time tusken robes weren’t dropping and they were probably the second most expensive item on the server at 3 million. Now a days the most expensive items go for about 100 million. If you use that for a rough inflation calculation on rare items it would put tusken robes at about 60 million in today’s credits. People used to pay 60 million for a tusken robe. Everyone wanted one and the boards were filled with “Bring the tusken robe back” posts much like they are filled with endor helmet and NS bicep posts now.
Well the devs listened and brought back the tusken robe. A tusken robe for every one that wanted one and overnight no one gave a damn about tusken robes anymore.
And I think especially in the clothing department the game is lacking quite a bit. The helmet was one of the items that really looks cool IMHO. And I think there are other players who don't want it because it's a rare item but just because of the StarWars feel.
I do agree that the game could use some more iconic star wars items. But as it is things like the endor helmet have obtained a substantial in game value due to their rarity. For a lot of people that wanted one and put the effort into buying one, that value represents a lot of real life time spent in it’s acquisition and certian amount of pride in it's ownership.
Just because you want one as well and you feel your reasons for wanting one are more valid then others, or you feel you’re above the need to quest for material gain doesn’t justify the destruction of other peoples investment in time. There are many other things you can role play with and many other things you could ask for that that wont destroy the value of an item a lot of people worked hard for.

ObiQuixote, you are talking mainly about players who made it a goal to hunt and collect for rare items! I can't claim that I belong to them. Hell I never even looted a carpet! Shame on me! But I enjoy the game without more as an RPG not as a competition of who has the most rarest items.

you have to weigh both sides of the situation, which you are clearly not. On one side you have a bunch of collectors who either spent millions to get a helmet or saved theirs over the past 2 years. On the other side is you, a role player, who wants one of the rarest peices of clothing to help you role play a rebel. As if you couldn't possibly role play a rebel without it. Or for that matter just ask for something else to be put in the game instead of ruining alot of time and effort put forth by collectors.
you are being inconsiderate and selfish. And for a roleplayer, unimaginative.
And yes I agree that the helmet has a big value for many who paid alot for it. I've also mentioned before that SOE already made a mistake when they took out that item!

I never said I'm a roleplayer, I said I like the RPG aspects of the game.

that makes you a roleplayer (I never said you can't be other things as well). And if you wanna contradict yourself and say you don't want the helmet for its roleplay value then what the hell do you want it for, other than to make a bunch of collectors miserable?
