If I remember correctly I got some items from a quest that I can't use (require other prof certs) but I also can only put them in my inv .or the bank. I'm guessing I cant trade 'em or drop 'em in my house either. What's the point in that?!?!

there are loads of crafted pistols better than the dosh one as of yesterday. i think the best base dps was somewhere are 340-350 or so.
and wanderhome has low pop. im sure on a high pop server like bria, there are some uber guns already.
point is, the drops are not 'teh uber', the ws just haven't started cranking out the goodies yet.
AND I HATE THE STUFF I CAN'T DROP! if i can't use it, at least let me put it on a wall somewhere.

Great, who on WH is selling 340-350 base dps weapons? I would really like to know and spend money on them!

Glarg doesn't know what he's talking about. Maybe it's possible to hit 340-350 with very good tissues but I'm not even sure about that. The max dps on an unenhanced weapon right now is about 315 (on Wanderhome), but you are going to end up with an action cost of around 115 with that weapon compared to 85 or so for the quest reward weapons. That's a huge difference.

so if you can't drop / trade anything, then how can you get it sliced?

Thanks for the clarification, I didn't think that was very likely considering about the huge difference in dps claims.
Now as for this:

You can drop/trade the item as long as you don't bio-link it first. I just got the Trando Pistol, did NOT bio-link it, and was able to hand it to my friendly neighborhood smuggler for a small speed slice, then he handed it back to me. So, it is still treated as normal item (that can't be equipped) until you bio-link it. Once bio-linked it can only be held by you or your bank. You can't trade it, nor drop it then (but you can equip it). Hope that helps clear things up

Well I bio-linked my Clone Armor and was able to drop it in my Guildhall (which i own) so maybe weapons cannot be displayed but armor can?

Unique and one off items like these i use as trophys to show what i've accomplished, i want to take screenies of me holding em and that, already linked my clone armour and rifle with me, but the sad thing is i NEVER intend to sell this stuff but put it in my SWG will to be divided up between friends when i leave SWG if ever and now i cant do that...really sucks

Hmmmm, it wouldn't let me drop my Trando Pistol after bio-link...but I didn't own the house, I was just on admin list. Perhaps that has something to do with it. Maybe you need to own the house or structure to drop a bio-linked item in it.

Correct you need to be the owner of the house to drop said item. They did this with the Hero of Tat quest. You can only drop it in a house you own, anyone with admin CANNOT pick it up. I tried with my alt, was getting frustrated with one of the parts so I tried to pick up the last piece and it would not let me. I will try this with my Trand Pike, which is currently bio linked to my alt.
