Thread: Black Sun Ace Helmet: Armor or Clothing????

I adked the rotj helm at 100/100 condition, so its fine to use, even in battle now. If you want to always wear htem ADK it before it gets to 0/xxx

make it so any clothingyou ADK goes to the max possible condition, whether it is positive or negative or zero currently.


make the rotj helmet, ns band, and black sun helmet all clothing. they arent protecting a thing.


this also opens the way for making 0 condition clothes ineffective. there is a way to keep them useful but it costs an ADK.

/bump we need a dev or someone to take a look...i tried pm'ing thunderheart maybe some other people should try....they wont fix it unless they think it affects alot of people

i had the same problem with ace pilot helmet it became armor and it was at 77/100 start giving the same crap got csr to help but the guy completely ingrone me this better get fixed fast

well it is a HELMET, its not a black sun ace HAT, nor is it a Blacksun ace headband, or a Blacksun ace touque, its a Blacksun ace HELMET.


Helmet = ARMOR

On that note, i see dictionary.com describing Armor as this


  1. A defensive covering, as of metal, wood, or leather, worn to protect the body against weapons.

I see none of the stated items doing such a thing


Anywho, i'm a little peeved as i forgot i had my rebel ROTJ helmet equipped and it went to 0/100 in battle very quickly :/


I applied an ADK because from what i've read, that puts it back up to 100/100 but it remained on 0/100 and has done so after many relogs, any ideas?

exactly my point, its a helmet, which is armor, therefore it shouldn't be wearable by jedi

if i take a piece of paper and write the word helmet on it, armor it is not.


the reason jedi cant wear armor is because it offers protection beyond innate stats. this item does not.


drop the semantics and stop looking to pick fights over inconsequential details.

I ADK'd my condition 7/100 bsah at which point it went to 100/100 condition and became armor. I am a TKA and cannot wear it in battle anymore. The following is a pm I recieved from a CSR on the issue:


Hello,

I have a strong feeling these ace pilot reward helmets are not supposed to be labeled as pieces of armor. For one, they do not have the reconnasaince, battle, or assault armor types listed when examined. Secondly, all previous rewards such as jackets are not considered armor, so why would the helmets be. And third, there are no ground requirements to wearing these. You can be combat level 1, with just novice basic skills, yet be a master pilot. So considering all these facts, I doubt it's intended for these to be armor. But, I'm not a developer, so what do I know?

Until this is fixed, or at least an announcement made by development, you'll just have to keep it as a decoration.


Granted, the CSR here thinks the BSAH is a pilot reward item. /shrug Does this problem also affect pilot reward items?

well crap i just found out after making ace pilot last night that this exact same problem is on the imperial ace pilot helmet


I used it all night killing stuff with no problem never noticed the condition then the nnext day when i loged on i could not use my saber while wearing armor


the real funny part was i could not take my "armor" off while in combat so I was running like a madman trying to get out of aggro so i could take my "armor" ace helmet off so i could fight again
