Thread: Wookiees cannot wear Mustafar loot items !!!!

I have no problems with wookies, I think everyone should own one.
That is a good way to put it and Sig-worthy
easiest fix, let me rerace my wookiee, none of the problems associated with wookies were mentioned and some were unknown when i created my toon.I would change to a "normal" race in about 3 sec. If i could shave I would, I ask evertime I see a MID.
special species abilities??? Everyone has abilities or haven't you noticed?
The health bonus is hardly worth the mention. Other species have their bonuses as well
We kick ass? I think not! You speak in ignorance. Perhaps you should examine how well we do in combat with an equi-template player using a character of a different race with all the reward items and clothings that give them bonuses and we can't wear (dodge, heal, range and melee defense, accuracy bonuses and the list goes on...), you would soon see us being used as rugs and floor mats.
Please educate yourself before you comment on something of which you have no knowledge of.

No you don't. The title of this thread was very clear, no-one made you go into the thread and read the posts. And judging by your comment you didn't even do that.
We got our own planet? Yeah and I remember clearly that all the rewards from those quests were for wookiees only....![]()

Go troll somewhere else please. I don't need your kind of comments in my thread!
The reply below is exactly how I and many other players with Wookiees feel!!! I bet there are players with Ithorian characters that feel the same way too.
I accept that there are some items that Wookiees cannot wear, that is a given. However it is extremely unfair that I cannot even trade the reward item to make a bit of profit from it. The only thoing I can do is hang it on a wall as a decoration.
It is also unfair that all other races that are not restricted from using these items get quest rewards that give them a modification such as Fire Protection (the Miner's Medallion) and there is no equivalent item with that modification for our character! Would you be happy about that? I think not!

You just got an expansion for you and your home planet! why are u upset?
AND
So you want your own exclusive content wookie only?Dude, no race has this, what makes you think they will ever impliment it.There is no reason, I dont know why you are complaining other than you are bored with the game or you want everything to be centered around wookies...
AND
Nobody made you be a wookiee. Chewbacca didnt cry because he couldnt borrow han solo's pants for a hot wookiee date. get over it. And there are suppose to be more humans in the galaxy then anything else.
I cannot believe the comments mentioned above. Could anyone be that completely ignorant or unaware of the scope of what is going on?This isn’t about wanting more than others who play the game or a simple cry for attention that needs to be satiated. This is a huge part of a sickness that plagues the healthy evolution of this game.
“You just got an expansion for you and your home planet! why are u upset?”
It seems strange that I would have to point out the obvious but we did not get an expansion for “us” in ROTW, everybody got the expansion ROTW (there’s nothing exclusive here).Who has been denied access to the planet?Who has been denied any reward items from the expansion and from that has less enjoyment from the game because all their friends are having more fun (with those enabling reward items) and you are left watching from a distance, envious of them?
“Nobody made you be a wookiee.Chewbacca didnt cry because he couldnt borrow han solo's pants for a hot wookiee date.get over it. And there are suppose to be more humans in the galaxy then anything else.”
As previously pointed out, nobody told us that we would be discriminated upon when we created our character and thus, not include our race as a factor in the design process of the flawed reward systems found prevalent in each new expansion.Notwithstanding the expansions, the whole architecture of the game favours other races when it comes to wearable items, but that is not the current argument (even if it supports the notion that there is flawed mindset driving SOE to make these avoidable blunders) Besides the fact that the above mentioned comment is dastardly immature, no one should regret their choice of race and be stuck in a predicament where deleting their character and starting over would result is far too much loss that the notion itself has become completely inconceivable. (Loss of all the hard work, skills, Xp and FS Xp, any bio-linked items, etc…, in fact try making a list of all items that you might lose if you do migrate to a new character, it is scary)
It appals me that I, a 34 year old adult male, a professional educator, and a positive contributor to the swg community would have to feel sour about choosing a highly discriminated upon race.As many have already mentioned, wookiee (and Ithorian) players continue to pay the same premium dollar for their subscription as everyone else does for theirs.Yet with every new expansion, many reward items are targeted for other races.Surprisingly, we are not offered an alternative prize based on race or gender. Short sightedness and the lack of common sense are ominously present in the lead developer’s vision with regards to these expansions.
“So you want your own exclusive content wookie only?Dude, no race has this, what makes you think they will ever impliment it.There is no reason, I dont know why you are complaining other than you are bored with the game or you want everything to be centered around wookies...”
WE ONLY ASK FOR FAIRNESS AND EQUAL OPPORTUNITY TO ENJOY THIS GAME AS EVERYONE ELSE DOES.
WE DO NOT WANT:
-exclusive items, just an equal alternative to what others get
-more attention than other races have
-more resources dedicated to leveraging our race than other races have
WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR ANYTHING TO BE CENTERED ON US. A properly designed game doesn’t have any centers… meditate on that thought a bit.
The road to recovery is to admit that there is a seriously flawed mindset at SOE.Only then will they be able to perpetuate new initiatives to rectify this game’s shortcomings.Need I get on a plane and head over to SOE so that I could sit down with the Directors and lead devs to explain the importance of a fair vision and how to achieve that vision?(maybe while I’m there, I could teach them a thing or two about quality assurance)
Though empathy helps a bit, it does not equate the hard work required to fix this problem.Empathy is like taking the path of least resistance and the path of least resistance is mediocrity. Is that what my top dollar is paying for?Is that what your top dollar is paying for?
SOLUTIONS:
A) Offer a reward trade in system so that we can exchange race specific non-useable reward items. This will have nothing to do with items that cannot be used because a player lacks the certification.Certification can always be obtained, however a race or gender can never be changed.
B) Allow players a one time respec token to another race. This is more challenging than the first solution but since SOE cares little to invest resources into leveraging a fair reward system for Wookiees and Ithorians, then they would have to continue solving their lack of vision gaffes by continuously updating solution # 1.
C) Pull their collective heads out of their arses and change the capitalistic “let me take your hard earned dollars and give you as little as we possibly can”, profit bearing, discriminatory, self perpetuating, intro-centric, self serving mindset into one that respects their customers by offering a global vision that includes fairness and equal treatment to all players.Maybe if this is done properly, we would see more players choose the wookiee and Ithorian races and with those populations on the rise, it would stimulate the devs to invest time and effort into rewarding those races as well.
D) Rebate all players’ subscription whose primary characters are devoid of game content that is unfairly reserved for other races. Why would we pay for something that we cannot have due to something we cannot change?
E) Allow all players that have started their SWG experience with a shunned race (wookiees and Ithorians) and continue to use these characters as their primary characters to receive a free character slot (not the fs slot you get once you get jedi).I don’t like this option because it would be unfair to all other players who play other races. However, the pendulum would finally swing our way and we would finally get the love we deserve.Nonetheless, this would be like a retroactive reward to compensate for the lack of consideration we have had since the beginning.
Until a positive action is taken, please join me in submitting bug reports when issued a non wearable reward item because of your race.
SOE, do not make me regret paying top dollar each month to get shafted time and time again… (If I could start a class action suit and charge you with taking money from customers without providing the fair incentives that other customers enjoy, I would!)
I am honestly waiting until Christmas in hopes that SOE will commit to resolving their short sightedness, misguided efforts, and past transgressions against the minorities of the game.If no action is taken, I will most assuredly cease playing SWG and forego extending any future purchases or business with the Sony brand name.Such a company does not merit any extra means to continue practising their antics.
As ever,
Shakalabah

wooks get health bonus and a special species ability..and the ability kicks a$$
Actually with the CU a characters Max health is tied to their CL. The max health for any character is 3000 (base health). I don't think wookieees gbet the additional 150 health (oooooh 150 health! WOW!). I may be wrong and cannot check atm because I am at work.
The species ability is a +10 to creature taming (taming vicious and taming wild NOT a plus to the CL level we can control). Once you reach MCH this ability is pretty much negated.
ALL species have a species ability. So there's nothing exclusive to Wooks there.

Wookiees cannot wear another quest reward item. The Miner's Medallion cannot be worn by Wookiees and is a NO TRADE item so this quest is absolutely useless for a Wookiee to even attempt.
This totally ruined my game play experience for this quest.

Sorry, but Wookiees aren't supposed to wear clothing that is made for everyone else, been like that forever, just like I can't wear Wook, or Ithorian stuff, and Ithorians have some cool looking threads. As for your game being ruined, I thought that it was the experience of doing the quests that made the game fun, sorry if you're so shallow that having a cyber item and not being able to use it ruins your game. I had a Wook for awhile, found out I couldn't wear stuff so I never played him again, we all aren't supposed to be exactly the same, that's a big problem in this game, everyone whines and whines about this and that until the Devs change it to appease the whiners and in doing so they piss off someone else who liked things the way that they were. You can't please al the people all the time and SOE has tried to and the game has suffered for it. Wookies are only supposed to wear Wookiee clothing items, like what they wear on Kashyyyk. I shuddered when I saw the Wookiee in the mining outfit, it looks so, so wrong. You guys get the rifles that noone else can use, or did you forget about that? I'm so tired of people whining about stupid stuff in the game when there are important issues that need to be addressed to make the game more stable and therefore enjoyable, those actually ruin the game, not not being able to wear a pair of frackin' gloves, boots or whateverelse. My two cents, go ahead flame away.
